I reckon Serge has already kicked on. His last couple of performances have been good. I would prefer someone in midfield in January rather than a full back.
We need a LB. If we had a LB we could rotate Serge & KWP solely at RB. Rose's injuries force us to have to play Trippier.

Huge fault for 3 goals in 2 games yet, he had 1 good cross in those games so we should forget about the defense!
DTX, can you believe the apologists are still trying that defense? Granted, it is more sturdy and resilient than what Tripps displays but it does get old and the logic is flawed.

I'm waiting to hear what you know who has to say!

I think that shipped sailed this summer. His stock had to have fallen off the cliff. He’s been terrible all season.
Some relegation candidate would love his crossing.

Maybe big Sam will get a job. He'd fucking love Tripps.

I think there's another important point that needs making about this game. Wolves are a good, well-assembled team playing above themselves, as a result of an inspired manager.

Divinely inspired Nuno Espírito Santo ?

It's all in my previous post, had you chose to read it: "those who are correctly criticising Trippier's poor judgment defensively ".

I reckon he still makes as many goals as he causes us to concede. He's going through a patch of dodgy form.
I did read your previous posts but those weren't what I was responding to. I was directly responding to the Tripps apology you posted and the ill-formed logic of the implied assertion; his assists (rare) do not make up for his poor defensive play.

And this is not a "patch of dodgy form". He is 28 FFS and since he has been here this is who he is. The other stuff was a purple patch that occurred because we as a team were playing great and he was in acres of space. He is not good enough and never has been.

I don't think anyone has suggested that, including me. You really have to read more attentively. All the words.
Be as supercilious as you want but here are 'all the words' and it sure as shit seems like you are suggesting exactly that which you disavow here in your reply to @dtxspurs

Hmmm, care to clarify? That's the thing about 'all the words', they tend to leave a trail.

BBC Sport:

  • Spurs have only lost two of their last 17 away games in the Premier League, winning each of the last four in a row.

Half the team need to be shipped out apparently.

Just read up to date from p.28, bloody hell.

Internet issues here all day (satellite b/band) so I gave the thread a miss.

I'll take the win buy Jeepers that was so terrifying and so predictable.

I nearly got sin binned by the Mrs for my delinquent behaviour - bouncing around the chair and hollering at the telly, she remembers the bad old days when I need my GTN spray for my ticker watching games and this one was up there with the worst.

From the sublime to the ridiculous.. An ugly win - I'll take it. God only knows what Tuesday is going to bring.
And what brought on your chest pain, sir? Ah, you're a Spurs fan. That's enough cause.

Have they? Wasn't very good in midweek (though out of position so can be excused), was acceptable against Inter but was defensively all over the place against Newcastle. His positioning is still atrocious. Just one of those things that people pick up on less.

And yet his absolute best is still zero end product to speak of and only our third-best CM defensively. He just isn't good enough and was never going to be. I can't help thinking if we'd given someone like Amos all his gametime down the years (and yes he would have made errors and cost us points but by goodness did Sissoko do the same in his first year) he would be the far more accomplished player now.

Yes, I agree that we need better quality midfielders but at the moment he’s one of a few fit midfielders in the squad. In addition he has shown lots of improvement of late. For that I’ll give him his due credit just like how I had lambasted him in the past for poor displays.
