Harry Winks fears Tottenham’s defending will be their “downfall” in the race for a top-four spot and says they must start learning from their mistakes after Sunday’s 3-2 defeat to Wolves.

He was captain, in a defensive role against a side we needed to beat, yet conceded 3 times at home.

He's young but a career is not long and he has accumulated a lot of high quality experience in that time. His passing is much more positive under mourinho, but he has to take his share of blame for the defensive problems he highlights.

As Jenas said on MotD2, it cant help chopping and changing the backline and system every game.

I cant remember anything I can blame him for in those goals against yesterday.

Our defending has been terrible now for over a season, we concede two goals regularly, that’s why we are so average at the moment, if you can’t keep clean sheets consistently, you’ll never never be a top side.

Whatever Mourinho needs to do, to solve it, I hope he‘s backed in the transfer market, otherwise, we‘ll go from a team that was genuinely competing to win major titles, back to a team competing for fourth, which for me, is shit.

I'm worried JM is gonna run out of options. If he's not carefull he's going to end up picking something we've already tried ;)

He was no-where to be seen for any of them.
He probably had too much ground to cover or as captain thought he had more licence to go forward.
Maybe Dier was meant to be the DM?
Mourinho likes to drop clues on where he felt the mistakes were made, and Tanganga, Aurier and Davies were hooked. So sure, maybe Winks was following the plan OK this time.

But we have shipped a lot of goals this season and Winks has been part of the problem despite being one of our own and all that.
