Surgery isn't the first option with groin problems these days. But if it goes well, there is a quicker recovery time.
Winks gambled that he would recover in time for a final there was only a remote chance we would secure and that he would be selected. Which shows some commitment.

There weren't many positives from the game, but that Winks got to partly live his dream, and played well is one of them.
