Were we really interested in him, or have we been gazumped by Chelsea again?

Roman is trying to save money so he's informed his people to just go buy whomever is rumored to be a Spurs target because they won't be too expensive.

Whether he’s the right guy or not, I think we need a DM

Wanyama was a ghost last year and I just don’t see Dier there log term.

CM looks light to me, in all respects - we need Grealish, we need Winks fit and we need something else too. Ideally that would be from our youth team or Wanyama returning to form, but I’m not holding my breat

So that tweet claims Everton want him but will wait until December.

Earlier in this thread, there were suggestions that Boca would seek to renegotiate his contract so that the release clause kicked in at Xmas, after their Copa Libertadores campaign.

I don't think Poch would be prepared to wait that long, especially since the signing of Lucas Moura suggests that our winter break signings are likely to spend the first six months adapting to the PL and Poch's methods.

Was some mention on an Everton forum of barrios. Got some interest for his potential to match up with Henderson in their derby!

Wonder if he’s the guy who the Goat is talking about. Seems to be a bit of news about him coming to England

I suspect it's a very complicated situation.

Our resident Argentine poster said that Boca basically control most local press stories, and will want to give their fans the impression that there's a bidding war and they're doing everything they can to keep the player or secure the most possible money.

As we know with the Foyth deal, there was alleged PSG interest which ITKs have had a chuckle about.

My sense is that if Poch wants Barrios, he has a good chance of getting him, especially since WB would be joining his Colombian teammate Davinson, to help the "settling in to European football" process.

I still don't understand the PSG interest deal from Foyth last year.
