Because they want teams to up the bidding on the contract. If I were a player, and my agent did not do that - I would sack them.

Agent: "We are looking for £X wages, plus bonuses. If you can meet that, I think I can persuade my client to chose you over Spurs."

A bargain at the price and ability wise I think Poch has better connections/ awareness of the South American market than any of us. Re the ITK that a couple of potential incomings have been shown around, I wouldn't be surprised if one of those is Barrios, post-WC and before returning to Colombia for a holiday.

As the ITK made clear, being shown around doesn't mean a deal is done, but logistically it would make sense for Barrios to have a tour, if we're considering making a move.
