Who the fuck is going to play at the back for them this season?

That's some money to be laying out when you are clearly in need of someone to step into the breach right now ....

Depends how the fee is structured. May only be about £10m up front.
That's still a fair chunk of wedge when you have as many problems as they do in the back four ....

All the while being linked to attackers as well.

They are getting the rub of the green with this deal though as Saliba will go back to St Etienne, therefore they will surely be more willing to accept a smaller fee up front and receive the money over 3-4 years.

They're struggling to do that with the Tierney deal and others as Celtic will likely want a hefty fee upfront, and rightly so.

This is where they are clearly coming into issues as they can't pay large sums up front. Their budget clearly isn't 40m but they are clearly trying to balance things - can't spend 30m on a left back as they need some for a CB etc. It's why they keep bidding low and then backing away from deals.

Desperate for us to get involved in this, just fucking get amongst it

Likewise I've never seen the player, no idea if I'd even want him, but I'd love us to hijack it.

Maybe see if we can at least force their price up just for the fun of it.

The twitter meltdown would be more enjoyable than a Carabao Cup.

Yeah I've barely seen him, it's the precedent I'm after:LOL:. His clips look good though

I've followed this guy's career with great interest ever since we were linked with him a couple of weeks ago. Fingers crossed.

I appreciate they probably won't pay the £27m up front, but what a strange signing for a team who are supposedly on a bit of a budget. Even with sales that's still a hefty chunk taken out of your pot for a player they'll be loaning straight back. Even when he returns to the Goons it might take him 2/3 years to get up to the pace of the PL.

If their defence is shit now, what the fuck will it look like by the time this kid is any good. :ROFLMAO:

Weird one for them. He'll be good for the future but their back line needs shoring up *now*.

So disheartening to watch Spurs fans bite on dry “bantz” like that.
Also painful to watch Spurs fans simultaneously laugh at the picture of Zaha in a Spurs kit whilst getting triggered when anyone does that with Kane in an Arsenal kit.

Looks like Spurs have offered more than Saint Etienne expected and there will be a meeting tomorrow to decide. They had agreed a fee with Arsenal already.

Edited with the follow up: It says Arsenal couldn't agree on the bonuses (the add-ons?) and the Spurs offer is more important (larger?) so ASSE will discuss tomorrow.
