I personally expect a footballer to give me a thorough rundown of ongoing negotiations, including a calculated percentage likelihood of him leaving, if I ever bump into one

Wow - some genius thought you were serious.

Might not be happening because palace can't get the replacements they want. The whole point of selling was to use the cash to buy a few players to improve their chances of staying up.

Why? His last big money move turned out to be a disaster for him. He may like being the big fish.

I doubt it would have got to the stage where both clubs bid and go through all of the motions and have those bids accepted only for him to say no. Who was the last player to turn down going to a bigger club should this be the case? I'm sure there are some but for Zaha to turn down clubs like Tottenham &a Chelsea when he's already demonstrated that he'd leave them should a big club come in I struggle to believe

I'm not actually that bothered if we don't get him. WF is one of the positions we're stacked at, Martial though is my true want, purely because he can also backup Kane if needed.

Massive pinches of salt need to be applied to the irk surrounding this deal and the martial one, neither will happen as we won’t pay up for either!

Gards also saying earlier that Zaha is a backup option.. I'm officially lost and have no idea who we're after or what we're planning

Gards on twitter just now saying he's going elsewhere. I'm assuming that means Chelsea.
