And Levy just let out to the #2 of Chelsea who we're competing with for the signature, plus his random mate that we've agreed a deal.

Whilst not trying to back up the info I simply copy and pasted, it does seem all parties were aware and have been for a while, matches up with prior Herc and Goat ITK.

I do strongly doubt Levy would let on to anything this big in public however.

As you do !

Yeah, they both just coincidentally bumped into each other on the eve where both clubs lodged their record bids for the same player.

Levy's in Bermuda, has been all summer! I know it, you know it and Gianfranco definitely knows it! Fibbers!!!

Maybe all our transfer dealings this summer have been lost in the Bermuda Triangle?

Just can't see this happening. We won't pay what they want.

I'm sure someone has most probably mentioned it, but the ITK we got today said that the fee has been agreed.

More than wages, transfer fee, or fan appreciation, etc. the biggest roadblock I see is promised playing time. We know that historically, Chelsea are the worst with this (see: Drinkwater, all of their loans, etc.) but if they actually end up selling Willian and/or Hazard (which may be agreed already) they would have to start Zaha.

Kane and Eriksen aren't being dropped, so in the scenario Zaha comes to Spurs, who wouldn't become a regular starter for us: Son, Alli, or Zaha?

the thing is Palace need the dosh to buy new players, we have agreed a price, as have Chelsea, but at the moment unless Chelsea accept something for Hazard or Willian pretty quick, Zaha at the moment would still be in the same boat in not knowing if he would start for them.

An ITK said that Man U have a 25% sell on clause with Zaha and Palace clearly need to sell. Surely a more prudent approach to agreeing a deal at around £60m, let's just say is to do a player swap so that you don't miss out on over £15m to invest further.

Carter-Vickers, Sissoko, Nkoudou, Janssen, Edwards, Llorente for Zaha or £60m- £15m gives them £45m. I can't see where they'd get a better crop of players for £45m than we could give them in theory so they don't have to swallow a quarter of the fee to Man United.

It makes sense to me, but then again I have had about 8 pints tonight

I would suggest cutting the drinking down, if those players of ours where that popular we would of shifted some by now. Palace without Zaha face a tough enough season as it is, the only 1 out of those that might help is Llorente and that is if he plays regular. you also have the situation of whether any of them would want to sign for them.

if anything Chelsea have the upper hand on trading a player with them RLC.

the one thing your also missing is Palace by the sounds of it are ready to say goodbye, and it is up to Zaha to decide his next journey, so if the fee is 60m, Palace have already accepted passing 15m over to Man U, or agreed the player trades to take that figure down

According to Transfermarkt, Zaha is represented by "Unique Sports Management". Their clients include: Ryan Sessegnon, Jamal Lascelles, Andros Townsend, Ryan Fredericks and one of our own...

Appearances in Premier League
Zaha - 143
Martial - 86

Goals
Zaha - 22
Martial - 24

Shots at goal
Zaha - 196
Martial - 148

Shots on target
Zaha - 72
Martial - 59

Shooting accuracy
Zaha - 37%
Martial - 40%

Big chances missed
Zaha - 22
Martial - 9

Assists
Zaha - 16
Martial -15

Crosses
Zaha - 432
Martial - 153

Big chances created
Zaha - 26
Martial - 24

The big tell tale for me is that Zaha has had nearly 300 more crosses in the Premier League yet created only 2 big chances more, 1 assist more and has missed 13 bigger clear cut chances than Martial has. Martial seems to take more shots at goal and less crosses than Zaha, but is more accurate with both his shots and cross/ pass ratios.

End product at the top end is key, Martial wins it for me which he did initially, even though I really like Zaha's qualities

Stats can be misleading but Palace win ratio without Zaha is a massive stat. I think it’s zero %

If we’ve offered a better package than Chelsea then I don’t see what choice there is to make. The only thing that worries me is the agent’s fees, which Chelsea are historically more inclined to bend over for than we are.

Yet they lost out to Liverpool on oxlaid chamberlain because they didn’t want to pay the agents fees on that one. So they don’t always pay them.

Just seen this on the Palace forum. Buckets of salt. Supposed source is very interesting!

Hopefully a fake rumor from someone from inside the game, but this guy I know is claiming a deal with us and both Chelsea and Spurs has been agreed for the sale of Zaha. All down to him to choose what he wants to do...

Nothing on social media so I am hoping this is the usual bullcrap you usually see from "someone who knows someone" so I would usually ignore it but this guy regularly socialises with Zola who's his claimed source.....

EDIT: Correction on source, he met Daniel Levy while out with Zola this evening who said it

Levy is in America.

Different times now. We're a far more attractive proposition now than when we were competing for the likes of Willian.
