I think the change in formation has seen him move up another level.
He would always create chances previously but in the 4231 formation he could go missing at times, especially if nominally playing from the left hand side.
Now playing more centrally he is more consistently involved. First half Sunday he was outstanding and, along with the full-backs, has benefited most from 3-4-3

Exactly. If I were still writing articles about Spurs, you brought up a point that I would have wanted to cover.
This formation works well for him. He seems to favour not just the centre but being positioned a little to the right of it. Against Chelsea he found his sweet spot a few times and we saw the result of that with the Dele headers. Whenever he gets into that position he is very dangerous with the ball on his right foot.
Also, the wing-backs stretches the opposition's defence so much that it makes it a lot easier for our attackers to find space.
