Who would be the biggest loss to our team if Madrid came calling in the summer?

The only player they'd be interested in is Dele because he's marketable, and if that was the case demanding Isco + cash would slightly soften the hit.

We finally get to the point where we are in our strongest ever position to keep players a great coach (who the chairman seems intent on backing, within reason) that has already pooh-poohed Barcelona and much less scary rumours than usual floating around this year, and still these kind of things are getting brought up :banghead:

Even this year there is stronger talk of Chelsea and Arsenal losing key players than us!

Years of the media trying to destabilise us has clearly rubbed off on some fans...

Is the right answer.

We could replace any individual but if we lose Poch I think we are done. All the players are loyal to him and it would send a shit message to the whole squad. Similarly if Levy sells anyone of note Poch will question the ambition and probably think about moving on.

Who is the most irreplaceable in our squad? It is so difficult to say!

We have traditionally struggled with strikers and creative players. So I am going to go with Kane and Eriksen being the biggest losses. But Toby, Dembele woudl also be a big blow

So much anger over an innocent hypothetical - isn't that what forums are for?

I swear, all the anger since Saturday seems to actually be coming from the You Must Always Be Happy fans who just keep moaning every time someone mentions anything remotely negative that might possibly maybe happen!

Take a load off, if you don't like the thread you don't have to slate it, just ignore it. Some questions deserve to be asked and this is an interesting one in terms of who people view as the most valuable individual at the club.

For my part, it's all about Poch, but in terms of exclusively players - Kane, heart and soul of the club, the fan on the pitch, and at least a third of our goals. Completely irreplaceable.

You could have just done a 'who is our most important player' thread.

We already have the World and their wife trying to sell our players at any given opportunity, do we really need to do it ourselves.

You're right - I bet the presidents of Madrid and Barca had never thought about going for any of our players until they popped onto their SC accounts (prawnsandwich and Welshie), saw this thread and thought BINGO summer transfer plans sorted! Thank God that thread got started on SC!

Well I have it from a well respected ITK that RM have scratched their Football Manager Disc so it wont load... SC is the obvious next port of call.

It was more a comment about why we have to frame things in a pessimistic way and discuss the team being picked apart, when ultimately the question is ''who is our most important player?'

Positive vibes people, positive vibes...

The only player that they would come in for would be Dele, and i would be mightily surprised if they didn't make an approach this Summer.

Face facts guy's who else in the PL would slot into that Madrid side?

I think that Madrid will want someone younger than Sanchez who turns 29 in December, Agureo is 29 in June. Hazard and Sane maybe but i can't see Hazard wanting to leave a nailed on double winning side. Sane in my opinion isn't good enough at present.

Madrid aren't really known for buying young players and developing. They want the very best.

Sane is a little green for them but imo so is Alli. Think Hazard would be very interested in Real as would almost any player.
