I'd be happy with a top team because we need to prove we can win the big one at Champions League level. You can only do that given the opportunity. If we can get over that psychological barrier and beat a top team over 2 legs, not only will we believe we can go all the way but it sets us up for more trophies going forward.

Each season under Poch has seen us grow more and more. From beating the top teams at home in the Premier League, beating top teams away in the Premier League, beating top teams home in the CL, drawing away at top teams in the CL. If we can continue that and draw away and win at home over 2 legs we're nearly there. Once we get to that point the next step is to win away at places like the Nou Camp.

These are all steps towards a champions mentality.

The only worry is they will look to invest in January to turn their season around... But looking at the teams now, I’d much rather play RM.

You would've thought that anyone decent they bring in would be cup tied for the CL, well anyone from European leagues anyway.

The only reason I'd like an easy draw id to deny Liverpool from getting it. Other than that I really don't care. Bring it on.

Whoever, just happy to be in it. I do know that whoever it is will not really fancy playing us at either venue.

Absolutely not Juve. In order from worst to best draw, based on their form both domestic and in Europe so far this season:

Juventus
PSG
Dortmund
Real Madrid
Bayern
Porto

If we play like we did Barcalona we would be a match for anyone. But let's hope there are some shocks in the next round and a few of the top teams go out. I know it is dreaming but I want us to win this!!!

Would swap Bayern and Real. Also I think a lot of people are underestimating Porto, I know it's only the Portuguese league but they're top and they waltzed through their CL group.

As long as we avoid PSG and Juve i'm happy.

I'd take Dortmund, Bayern, Real Madrid, Porto just fine.

The only one I’d actually fear is PSG. Purely for the fact they don’t even have to play well. Their front 3 can have a couple moments of magic and it’s game over. The thought of having to keep a clean sheet in the 1st leg would be a major concern.

Best to worst from my point of view (including actual trip rather than complexity of game);

Porto
Bayern
Dortmund
Juventus
Real
PSG

I think Real would not be the worst opponent. They are not in great form this season, they don't have Ronaldo, we smashed them at Wembley and got a deserved draw at Bernabeu. From psychological point of view, it would be good rival for us cause we already know them, already defeated them and generally have good memories with them. Great confidence boost.

I hope we avoid PSG or Dortmund. PSG are just very good team and Dortmund are flying this season.

So I would go with Porto or Real.

I'd like Real. It would be so sweet to knock them out of the CL after they took Modric and Bale off of us. It could be the start of a whole new 'special relationship'.

I quite fancy Juventus, Or Real i think we are good enough to beat all the teams we could face, last season we were better than both real and Juve.

PSG and Dortmund would be very tough so they would be a worst case, and we would have a real battle to beat PSG.

Honestly I'm more interested in whether the stadium will be ready than who we will play. I really want to try and get a ticket to that one. I may stand more of a chance for a midweek game than a weekend one. It would be special for my first game at the new stadium to be in the Champions League regardless of the opponent.

It's a shoe-in between Bayern and Real to be fair. Both have underperformed in their domestic league with new managers this season, and both haven't strengthened in the summer. They've both looked fairly good in the CL though.

Porto is a good team, but they lack the quality that the others can put up on their day. They were in a pretty shit group as well, and would not be group-winners under normal circumstances.
