My earliest memory of WHL is January 1975 when I remember Alfie Conn going around Peter Shilton and hitting the post

My most vivid memory of WHL is the tic a tape reception for Ossie & Ricky on their home debut for Tottenham v Aston Villa in August 1978 when we lost to the eventual Champoins 1-4
What an entrance infront of 48,000

My dads earliest memory is Christmas Day 1945 when we played a very good Derby County team and were on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline!

Amazing memories. My family has been going to WHL since about 1910 when my great great grand father lived in Spitalfields

Will be a sad day seeing the old girl for the last time

My best memory from the Lane? Just happens to be the only one. 1-1 vs Chelsea in 1995. I was 12 and it was my birthday gift. The tickets were sold out but two good people from the ticket office must have given me and my dad two of their own allocated ones. I was So chuffed. Also one guy several rows down treated their lot to a "f**k you, you f**King nazi bastards!". Made me smile nervously that.
Maybe with 62k seats l'll get the chance to go again.

Liverpool won the 1978/79 title. Villa won it in 1980/81. I remember going to Wembley to watch us play them in the Charity Shield in August '81.

My first time watching Spurs was 1964 v Ipswich. We won 6 - 3 and Greaves didn't score, Cliff Jones got a hat trick. The next game was V Man U the following season. I stood on the base of the floodlight pylons and saw Ron Henry score the only goal with a 52,000 crowd.

So many happy memories, never mind the season we were in the 2nd division, we learned from that and came back stronger. Happy days!
