I'm locking this for a short while so that people have a chance to step away and move along because this is all just going around in circles now.

When I re-open it we're either back on topic or I'll have to find another way of getting the message across. Ta.

OK, we're re-opening the thread now, please stay on topic.

Every pundit fucking hates us! It’s a Sky conspiracy to bring us down I tell you......

.... what’s that? One of them just said something nice about us. Well, I’ve always rated that pundit to be fair.

Is that better? (y)

Has anyone considered the possibility of a conspiracy to bring us down so that an American consortium can buy us cheap?

I managed the first 4 and a half minutes of the BT football writers pod before x-ing out shaking my head.

Made my head hurt listening to Hopkinson bang the "it's unfair on away sides going to the new stadium" drum only to be told history shows the reverse to be true and then have the muppet 180 to "yeah whichever way it goes it's to the benefit of the teams going to NWHL then."

Mate, you had a shit opinion. "I stand corrected" isn't hard to say, you can't be right with two entirely different opinions no more than 2 minutes apart.

People just refuse to admit they're wrong about anything these days, it's so annoying.

And anyway, here's a list of the teams we play at NWHL in the league:
Palace (probably safe)
Huddersfield (doomed)
Brighton (probably safe)
West Ham (mid-table nowhere)
Everton (mid-table nowhere)

In the grand scheme of things, unless Palace and Brighton suddenly suffer complete crisis in form, no team's season is in any way affected by playing us at NWHL, either positively or negatively.

west ham will play like their very lives depend on the result. Its their cup final......small time.

When their fans see our ground and compare it to the taxpayers athletic stadium they now rent, they'll lose their shit completely

Charlie Nicholas admires the new stadium but he’s worried Tottenham have overpaid for it.

Perhaps “champagne” Charlie should have given Daniel Levy financial advice before the build began. Levy must be gutted he didn’t seek out such expertise....

Especially as Arsenal won't be debt free in theirs until 2031. £20mill payment per year until then - which is why they crave CL football to boost their famous war chest.
