He is just think he is a bit of a **** biscuit tbh.

If you ever get the chance to see Marco Boogers (the man, the myth, the legend) tackle on him it will improve your life

Neville makes a meal of it if you ask me. He barely touches him

I wonder if any of them realise that if Liverpool lose tomorrow... if we then win 13 games we are champions
Obviously the necessary result didn't come to pass, but now we're in this territory I think it actually makes us more likely to do it. We have recent form for going on such a run (didn't we end Chelsea's almost record run as part of 12 wins in a row ourselves?). We are definitely in this, although outsiders as it stands.
Unless we do something extraordinary, we’ll never convince guys like these.
This is the crux of it for me (and perhaps many others dissatisfied with how the media tend to talk about us) - we are doing something extraordinary. No other club in the Premier League era has managed to do what we've done up to this point and several of those that have tried have been relegated as a direct result of their efforts.

No mention of us in Gary Neville’s article about the ‘title race’ either.

https://www.skysports.com/football/...league-title-race-becoming-real-for-liverpool

I think I actually prefer to keep under the radar.

I still think City are going to win it. But if we finish above the mighty, incredible, amazing, fantastic Liverpool (AGAIN...) I will laugh my bollocks off for the rest of my life.

People don't think we're going to win the title but complain if pundits opinions agree with theirs.

That's a new one

Well, you’re twisting my words with that one for ‘comic effect’.

I said Gary Neville doesn’t mention us in his article, but admitted I think City will win it.

I do however think we 100% should be MENTIONED in any title race discussion.

Massive difference.

If I were to point out that there are other posts and that in this instance you assume too much, would that help the penny drop?

The way I see it - if we are second then its a three horse race and if we are third its a two horse race

Fuck the pundits - fuck em all...

Haha...no problem. Just thought my words were being twisted so wanted to correct it.

I have enough of the Mrs twisting every word I say for dramatic effect, so probably just struck a nerve.

I don’t think we will win the title.

I think we are in the title race.

Pundits thinking we are not in the title race, are not qualified for their job.

Pretty simple, right?

Why do Spurs fans seek the approval of the said pundits? I would never understand that.

Isn't it better if Spurs as a team just continue to perform and people continue to ignore Spurs as a bunch? Less pressure to begin with. Meanwhile the Lpool bunch keep coming up with undue pressure from the word go cause of the weight of expectations. I personally love that they don't utter Spurs in the same sentence as title, you can't "bottle" something that wasn't expected of you.

Doesn't matter what they think or say. Love us, hate us, not worth any points. Tbh i prefer if everyone hates us. Means we are doing things and are important. We're not there yet. They are dismissive. The jimmy white of football. But in the end he got a title.

If we're going for analogies, this one is for the wrestling community. But I'd say we're Tommaso Ciampa. Hated by everyone but believes in himself and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Ironically he wears a knee brace after a hefty knee injury, so injury similarities too!

I just hope we get our own goldie soon.

While anyone that beats us is Gargano...

On today’s punditry pendulum:

Plus column

  • Darren Bent says that with the way we’ve performed, nobody can question Levy and Pochettino’s transfer policy.

Minus column

  • Darren Bent says we could struggle to keep Son from joining a bigger club.
  • Chris Sutton says we are a team of cheats and divers.

I’ve heard him quite a few times on BT, never says anything informative , Don’t know how he gets a job as a pundit, the only things he says is controversial and stuff where he knows people will disagree, he does it all for attention imo

Spot on. People praise him because he supposedly "Tells it like it is" and "Doesn't hold back" but to be honest I've never seen that from him. He just looks at what the rest of the panel are saying and then says the complete opposite to cause an argument. I appreciate that there's a purpose to having someone play devil's advocate to help stir up a debate, but then he completely negates that by then just patronisingly shouting over everyone when they try and respond so you don't end up with a debate, it just turns into a childish squabble.

I don't take what Pundits say personally. But, I do listen or watch out for those that give us credit where it is due. On the whole, those like Neville have been fairly complimentary over the years.

It's weird, people don't think we're in a title race, yet we'll comfortably get top 4 at this pace. With all the off the field stuff this season, I am yet to see one pundit give us credit for that. Getting 3rd without any signings, constant stadium delays, countless injuries, the post WC fatigue and no pre season for NINE players would be a huge achievement. We were supposed to be in the new ground, so this has turned into another transitional season like last. Poch and the players have done a remarkable job.

This season is turning out to be a fucking miracle.

Sutton is a talentless **** who has decided to go down the misery pundit route and be ultra-critical and deliberately rude in order to create a personality for himself (because he has none), and cash in by being controversial.

The only good thing about shitty BT Sport is they’ve taken him and Robbie Savage off terrestrial tv so I don’t have to watch either of the twats during Final Score anymore.

If you ever find yourself getting wound up by Sutton, just remember this...

In the season we challenged Leicester for the title he said, in mid-October, that we wouldn’t finish above Palace :woot:

Maddison should definitely join us then ???
