I heard that complete wally Dean Saunders on the radio this mourning unable to fathom why fans of other clubs didn’t want Liverpool to win the league. He just simply couldn’t understand it poor chap.

He is one of the worst pundits out there (and I use that term reluctantly!). Crazy amount of Liverpool bias and doesn’t seem too bright either.

I’ve heard him a few times with Ryan Mason and Mason always sounds a bit confused as to what Saunders is actually going on about.

I'd be doing the same thing if I had to listen to that cockwomble.

Finally got round to watching this. It's no secret that I wasn't exactly his biggest fan as a manager (no need to go nuts at me because he gave us excitement again. It's just my own personal opinion).

That said, fair fucking play to him for this line of questioning.

Spoke proper sense & I couldn't agree more with him. Literally every word.

Also, those that watched I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, will remember a calm & laid back Harry Redknapp. Throughout all the questions in that video, you could see his face getting redder and redder, his voice getting more stern.

It basically showed that he's a fucking top bloke away from football, but fuck me he's one passionate bastard when he's speaking about it. Gotta respect that!

I don't think we should accept that there isn't players out there to improve us. The biggest problem we have is the step up in quality required to oust what we already have. I strongly admire Poch stance to wait for the right quality to come a long rather than just buy bog standard players just to make up the numbers...convincing players to come to Spurs is another hurdle we'll have to face ( Reports suggested we were strong in for Rabiot ) we aren't the highest payers in wages.

promoting our development players into the first team squad and waiting for the quality within our budget is the most sensible approach we can do.

I didn’t agree with everything he did as a manager, particularly taking his foot off the gas once he thought he’d got the England gig, but fair play to him, it would be easy to be bitter and have a pop at Levy every chance he gets, but he seems to have got over it and have genuine affection for the club.

Was funny when he was asked “would you be saying this if you were still the Spurs manager?”

My guess would be no. That said they were nice comments.

Another football weekly quote of brilliance.

As they discuss our chances, I think it was Andy brassel, "they could do a Leicester"

What a pillock, in what way would spurs be doing a Leicester? We have been there or there abouts for years and finished above Liverpool last season, how in God's name can we do a Leicester?

Perhaps he just meant in the way that no-one expects us to win it?

Lawro says we're going to win 2-1.

Liverpool continue their unbeaten run with a 3-0 win and definitely don't fuck it up.

I think to win the league without a proper home stadium, with the World Cup players having no pre-season and all the subsequent injuries, it would be a miracle akin to Leicester to win the league.

So much unnecessary angst with pundits who dare utter a word about Spurs
It's pretty clear what he meant and to then jump on that as an insult is pretty OTT, I think.

There are definitely pundits who don't show us respect but that doesn't mean that EVERY single word uttered by anyone is done to 'put us in our place'.

Although I agree with you in your sentiment this is not how he meant it. Lazy journalism.

How did he mean it then?

That we could do a Leicester... You know win the league and then fuck off to doing nothing. A one off season completely, a total anomaly.

But we're not. Havn't we amassed more points than anyone, bar City, for the last couple of seasons?

Not listened to it but Andy Brassell’s usually decent and knowledgeable on the podcasts I listen to.

Didn't hear it myself but like anything it totally depends on the context in how it was said.

For example, if the initial conversation was to do with all the issues we've faced recently and he finished off with it would be like Leicester winning the league then fair enough.

But if it was meant in a disparaging way then its ridiculous obviously.
