F*** me I usually don't get ticked by other teams fans, but they have such a righteous "we are better than anyone and everyone" mentality that it makes me feel physically ill.

Get a f***ing grip, you haven't won jack in how many years and this is probably the first season under Klopp that they have played dominating football. They act as if it's been that way since the dawn of time.

I genuinely hope we win the final, just to see the excuses these tards come up with.

Love how much better they think they are. We finished above them four years in a row until this season.

European royalty? Like Gypsy royalty?

On doing hot weather training in Marbella, then home on Monday/Tuesday, then flying out today.

Aaand this is why even Arsenal fans are struggling to want Liverpool to win on Saturday.

Absolute delusion.

I want the win Saturday, more so they don't win anything, than for us to win it on the merits of Spurs being European Champions.

Sad but true.

I hope we bang them 3-0 with three penalties we dived for. Wankers.

Another funny thing is they consider themselves European royalty, but obviously most of them are pure idiots and can't count because 13 titles (Madrid) is royalty and is more than double their 5 titles. They need to win it 8 more times before considering themselves royalty.

Bar 2005, they had a good run in the 80s and that's it. No consistency or domination to speak of in the last 20 odd years.

they also don't recollect that the earlier cup competitions were ridiculously easy to navigate before the wider format came in. yes, you could only get in by being national champions but some of the opposition sure wasn't what it would be now that's for sure. Take their 1978 run for example.....

1st Bye———
2nd Dynamo Dresden5–1 (h)1–2 (a)
Quarter-final Benfica2–1 (a)4–1 (h)
Semi-final Borussia Mönchengladbach1–2 (a)3–0 (h)
Final FC Brugge 1-0

So 4 games to be champions, probably against the equivalent of at least 2 championship sides. Match that against the 10/12 games taken these days, always against the real top teams in europe. Real's 3 in a row is probably worth the same as 20 in old cup money.

But even as fans, we kind of feel... professional about all of this now. There’s a little bit of that dickhead swagger about us again.
Again?

A fucking gain?

Most of those ****s cant even walk because they're physically crippled by it.
This is why the football world cannot stand their ****face fanbase.

Ergh.

It is the fans absolute self-assurance that wants me to win tomorrow whatever the cost.

Normally (and I know that this is not a normal situation us being in the final) I would be hoping that we just put in a good performance. We have achieved an amazing feat in just getting to the final so let's just enjoy the moment.

But..............

The C###ing F###head A###hole dirty s##ty filthy horrible selfindulgent obnoxious fans deserve every bit of misery that fate can throw at them.

I would absolutely love it if we beat them

We must beat them

We NEED to beat them

For the sake of humanity anything other than a Spurs win will be a travesty

I have respect for Liverpool Football Club. The fans I would not even give them the steam off my piss.

I will relish dancing in the rain if their fans tears. And then laugh and laugh and laugh in their whinging moaning detestable faces when the excuses come reeling out.

For the love of football COYS!!!!

Come on now, they have 5 European Cups and 3 UEFA Cups. There aren't many teams that can compete with that. But, since they love talking about theirs, they need to understand that other teams have history too. If they knew anything about ours, then they'd know that we were on the European scene while their club was still in short trousers.

One my best mates is a Palace fan. He really wants us to beat them.

He was over for dinner last night and we were discussing the game. In his impartial view, only Vertonghen or Toby would get in their side. But he actually thought Joe Gomez has potential to be better!

He reckoned Firminho suits their style better than Kane would.

I was arguing with him, as you can imagine.

Am I that deluded? I really don’t get this Liverpool love in. For most positions, there is not much in it.

The whole footballing world is talking like they are some elite team and we are lucky to be on the same pitch as them.

We can’t argue with their points tally, but so many things have gone perfectly for them this year. The total opposite for us.

I honestly think we can finish above them again next year and restore normal service. They are an excellent team, but so are we.

Like I said in another thread, it's just because they finished eleventy billion points in front of us in the league. There's not much in it across the teams - their fullbacks are better but Jan & Toby is better than VvD +1. As long as Poche picks what everyone knows is our best team (painful though it will be to drop Lucas) then there is next to nothing in it.

Their delusion extends beyond believing they deserve to win it they also genuinely believe we don't and they believe it because they are God's anointed.

Was at a friends BBQ the other day and one of my mates is a Liverpool fan and this is honestly what he said ...

“ we deserve it this year because last year we were robbed against Madrid, so this year we deserve to win the CL “

The irony in a scouser claiming they were robbed always gets me.

If you're doing a combined XI, Kane, Eriksen and Alderweireld definitely getting in for us and van Dijk, Robertson and Alexander Arnold definitely get in for them. Possibly Salah. After that, it becomes a matter of personal preference. Personally, I'd rather have Son over Mane, but I imagine most Liverpool fans would say the opposite. Keepers are both top quality with the occasional error in them. Both teams have workhorse midfields. Based on this season's performances, Sissoko would be one of them and perhaps Fabinho for the other.

The overall quality isn't as vast as the league points totals would suggest. The main difference this year is we were battered with injuries and fatigue from the World Cup and Liverpool avoided that since most of their key players either didn't go to the World Cup or barely played.
