Liverpool is a unique place, steeped in history, and was an economic powerhouse back in the days of the Empire and the Industrial Revolution.
Despite all the change it has undergone over the decades one thing has stood firm - the Liver bird statues at Pier Head continue to watch over their city, and local legend has it that the wings flap every time a virgin walks by.
To date however there are currently no credible witnesses to this event.......

A memo to ourselves...and waving to any Liverpool fans doing a reverse what are our opponents saying about us.

This, oh they lost a final last year so that means the experience of losing somehow is a factor in their favour being in another final a year later.

Can I draw everyone's attention to the 1991 American football final....the superbowl:

1991 Losing finalists: Buffalo Bills

and then

1992 Losing finalists: Buffalo Bills

and then

1993 Losing finalists: Buffalo Bills

and then...I mean the scales by now must be SO FAR tipped in the Bills' favour....

1994 Losing finalists: Buffalo Bills

Let that slowly ferment in their heads for another two weeks

Hate to rain on your parade- and I love the logic (and don't get me wrong- I am OBVIOUSLY DYING for us to win this)- but comparing the Buffalo Bills to Liverpool is quite a stretch. The Bills had never won things; Liverpool has, many times.

So yeah finalists can indeed lose multiple finals-- if they're the Bills. Liverpool ain't the Bills.

hmm, not the Bills today. But back then they were clearly good, otherwise they wouldn't have been AFC champions four years in a row. Losing one final does not make it more likely a team will win their next one

As for Liverpool win things "many times". In the last 10 years they have won....drum roll please maestro...........one solitary league cup...and er, that's it. So not that good at winning at all

And this Liverpool ain't the Liverpool that won trophies. This Liverpool are serial runners up. Wins that occured in the 70s and 80s have literally no effect on the team now.

Interesting that of the two 'dislikes' to this, one made their first post and has since deleted their account, and the other is from Florida.

I'm actually a Londoner who moved to Florida 3 years ago. Sorry to upset your narrative. But let's get back on topic shall we?

From a Liverpool fan that sits opposite me at work:

If Keita is fit, then you guys are toast! Naby is the man! The guy is amazing. Did you see the way he dismantled West Ham? He's the best midfielder in the world. Ever. He's the best midfielder in the world, EVER!

I like this guy. He's pretty relaxed and easy going and he may have been exaggerating a little. But OMFG when Liverpool is mentioned... When he said the above quote he definitely half believed it, half wished it was true.

And the 'deleted' account was actually banned by the mods, not deleted at all. Weird what people find 'interesting' :D

I thought it interesting that the two members who, by implication, supported the Alabama abortion bill were likely a troll (still seems so whether they deleted their account or were banned), and someone from a southern state bordering Alabama. Is that so weird?
