It's so lame that they boo the CL music. What are they even booing at this point with all their blood billions? They aren't the scrappy little brother to utd any more.

Agreed, just heard that they haven't even sold out yet! I know their fans have had to spend a lot on tickets with all the cup runs, but they're at home, 1 down in the CL quarter final against a PL rival you'd expect them to be well up for it

No doubt this game against City will be tough. It goes without saying we’ll need to be at our best defensively and make no clear cut mistakes Lloris particularly needs a good game. That said we also need to attack and counter to get goals. City have to win the game so they’ll be reckless too.

Not sure why they are moaning about having to pay lots for tickets now. When they were shit they didn’t have to pay for anything. Just tough luck.

I don't think they have to be from the outset though, they can just play their normal game and from their point of view that will be enough for them to get past us. It depends on how long we can keep it any bit tight for.

To be honest as negative and pessimistic as it sounds, it's a fixture in which I hope the opposition have a bit of an off day or just a frustrating evening. If everything clicks for them they are very hard to keep out.

This will be where the officials step in to make sure we progress no further, we will never be allowed to win this competition

Correct just watch how many fouls get given against us, with spurs players doing their salah impersonations.

here are we meeting up to smash fuck out of the spuds coach... I will be there with in my flares but I'm not lobbing a pint at it, shudder the thought .

Not forgetting this last gem of an offering. Isn't Karma a bitch baby...

It is the eve of the big match and the fans are getting grief from Pep, Stones and Talksport. A peanut could work out that the problem is the clowns who set the ticket prices at the Etihad. They are clearly overpaid and totally out of touch with reality. Thousands of passionate locals would love to watch this amazing team in the stadium but have long since been priced out. The club is swimming in money, yet they seem determined to bleed the last penny out of us

Do you think the staff in the libraries and bookshops in Manchester have gone around snipping out of the dictionaries the phrase 'self-awareness'...?

I actually think that, while the lower sides are further behind than ever, there’s no reduction in their quality, just an improvement in the quality of the top sides. That there are six sides who you could suggest as champions without being ridiculed is more than any other league, surely that is competitive no?

Throw in the fact that the last three champions have been different sides and it’s actually quite refreshing for me, having grown up seeing only two sides win the title in 9 successive seasons (96-05) and then Chelsea effectively replaced arsenal and only two sides won the pot for the next 7 seasons. However, in the 7 seasons since, four different sides have won the title, and thus year it might become five in eight. No other top league can offer that.
Stop being sensible and measured. I miss the passionate leGin

too be honest we need to frustrate, and keep them out without silly errors. we then have to take any chance/chances that we do get. I'm still annoyed that Trippier did that silly free kick when their keeper wasn't moving too good last week. I'd be tempted to leave Son and Moura up by the halfway line. I know we might need everyman behind the ball, but their pace is in the wing backs, keep them defending or in the middle of nowhere when we get the chance to counter

Do you remember how mourinho got the beating of Pep when Inter played Barca in that epic semi? Two fast players up behind the fullbacks and a false 9 playmaker in Sneijner (I think). Given our injuries I think we'd be perfect to set up exactly the same way with Lucas and Son high and wide and Eriksen playing a deeper role, everyone else playing defence.

I'm pretty much expecting a drubbing, but boy, would it be cool to see us pull off the upset (for obvious reasons) along with what Ajax did today. Would go a long way to show money is not everything when it comes to success.
