I am aware of a major WHU sponsor trying to jack it in and come over to Spurs instead. Obviously unable to state who and how I know but I believe talks are advanced

Betway has been killing me on acca's recently, its about time I get some of my money back even if its through the club. :cautious::ROFLMAO:

Morale must be high going into this one and think a 1-1 draw is possible.

Anything is possible being the 1st team to play at their new Stadium!
They could crack under pressure, or they could rise to the occasion. We could be Inspired to be the first team to win there.
So much has been Made of this stadium, that, like Wembley, everyone is going to want to play there.
Should be a good night though, and hopefully a 2-1 win!

"I'm not black, like Barry White, I am white, like Frank Black is"

There will be a huge crowd for their opening game and I can the team rising to the occasion.I cannot see us getting anything from this game.

an Andros winner in the 89th would be a Nice pay-back for all the 0-1 games we have "enjoyed" With Spurs!

Having been the first team to win in Brighton's new stadium hopefully the same for Tottenham

Party poopers!!! 0-1 with batman scoring!

hope for a draw but most of all I would like a Palace player to score the first goal at spurs new ground

Especially with the referee wanting to give them every decision to grab the spotlight.

Always the possibility os us being able to play our patented brand of counter attacking football, coming off the back of a win that near enough secures our survival and having little pressure with all eyes on Tottingham meaning it could be another famous Palace scalp.
I seriously think it is a good possibility however both my heart and head say a comfortable Tottenham win, probably 2/3-0.
Have no real expectations for us so will sit quite easily on Weds. resigned to a probable defeat but not so pessimistic that we may just be capable of doing something to spoil the party!

2-2

3-2 us.

Even, if as expected, we lose at Tottenham this won't adversely affect our survival chances as Cardiff play away at Man C on the same night.

If they do their homework on our centre halves and how slow they are then we could be in trouble.
Other than that we could easily spring a shock.
3-2 either way - I am just not sure which however I will be there to watch so should be a good night!

I think we will get at least a draw. All the pressure is on them, even more now they are in that new stadium.
We are much better away, they'll bottle it like they do everything else.
1-1

Having been the first team to win in Brighton's new stadium hopefully the same for Tottenham

that was Liverpool, we were the first to win in the league

We're really missing Sakho at the moment, but hopefully Dann or Kelly (whichever plays) can rise to the occasion. So long as Wilf, Andros and Bats are all fit we will pose a threat on the counter and hopefully Kouyate comes back in. Another plus is that Vicente looked far more composed on Saturday, so hopefully he plays another blinder.

We haven't played that well for a while now, but with the pressure off a bit I think we might spoil the party. 1-2. Bats and Tomkins with the goals.

3-0 palace.

With Palace who on earth can say what the final score will be. I bet none of us would be surprised if Palace won 3-0 or lost by the same amount.
But for the sake of this thread I have got to say a Luka penalty and a rare Blunteke goal in reply to a Kane effort.

1-0 to Tottenham, it always is apart from the cup matches.

There's a staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar man playing on the right, his name is Andros Townsend and he's fuckin' dynamite

Wilf to play an absolute blinder on the new pitch, score 2 and assist one.
0-3.

Yep, it ain’t a cup match unfortunately so have to agree with you here. We’ll probably outplay them for 89 minutes, miss about 7 or 8 chances then give up a goal in the last minute of extra time.
Whilst I think this is the most likely scenario, I would like to see a goal fest 4:3 Palace win.

Have a horrible feeling about this game. We haven't had a tonking all season, but think this may be the one.....

We have had a Tomkins all season however, you never know!

All the pressure is on them...keep them at bay for the first 20-30 mins and the weight of the opening game of a £1bn stadium may make that spurs shirt really heavy...might just win this you know 1-2 COYP

Spoiled Gerrard's farewell at Anfield so who knows but they will be up for this new stadium etc., particularly with ManUre going down tonight as well. Overjoyed with a point tomorrow. COYP !!

As much as i'd love to spoil the party i'm not convinced that we can.
A decent show from us but 2-0 (maybe 2-1 if we're lucky).

Spurs will be buzzing, we are almost safe so not going to bust a gut but we are good at being party poopers so 1-1 or 2-1 Palace

Based on our recent past league games with TH 1-0 seems most likely outcome - however hoping for at least a draw as we do like spoiling big clubs special occasions.

Quick visit to the Holmesdale forum for the Palace fans' views

Did they like the opening ceremony? No.

"Just turned the game on and it looks like a shit version of the Olympics opening ceremony, on a budget of 50 quid."

Did they like the catering? No.

"Damned place has run out of beer. Don't think they were expecting us."

Did they like Palace's second half performance? No

"Can't remember the last time we gave the ball away so many times in a half"

Did I like the quickfire response that post garnered? Yes.

"That would be in the first half."

There's some great stuff on the KUMB thread about our stadium, I suggest you all go read it, I particularly liked:

"Tonight’s a bit like having to hear all about the stunning girlfriend you could have had, getting married to someone you hate.

This while looking at the state of the missus you’ve ended up with."

A Palace friend of mine posted this and said “Nice new toilets.”

Rampant sticker vandalism.

You'd need lots of stickers to make Selhurst Park look anywhere near decent.
