Their ‘brief’ success was on the same ‘never never’ as Risdale’s Leeds, and aimed at being in the Chsmpions League. Chelsea were hours, not days - hours, from going bust the day Abramovich bought them. And their success was really limited up until that point. They’d gambled and over spent and then won the lottery.
under Harding I believe they won the FA Cup 3-4 times and the Cup winners cup.

yes Abramovic saved them and they went on to win the league, and I so wished he hadn't chose them. in fact I wished he had never arrived in the country to spend his dirty money

our win there last season was the 1st time since 1989, and okay we weren't to good in the 90's but they still had a hold over us both home and away

Embarrassing from Man City. Something that Chelski and Ars would also do

You’ve just won 6-0. Well done now fuck off with your billions and billions back under your rock

Nah, rub it in as much as possible - I'm a big advocate of football banter, and if it annoys 1 chelsea fan, even a little bit, then it's worthwhile.

I hope people stand by this when other teams are playing, can't be amazed at the amount of irony when our fans call other teams 'lucky' when they get defensive when the label is thrown at us.

It's a cliche and a term I hate to use but you make you're own luck.

The all conquering sides Liverpool, Arsenal and Man United all positively thrived on winning games by the odd goal throughout the 1980's 90's and noughties.

Playing towards the Kop the Scousers often ground out a result at the death, the Arse won loads of games 1-0 so many times the fans used to sing about it and Man United had Fergie time. The Arsenal league winner at Anfield, the Man United turnaround in the CL final v BM, Jeepers those mugs really have lost the plot.

16/17 season when City hammered us and went 2-nil up YET we managed to turn it around and grab a very unlikely 2-2 draw. A team without character does not turn that scoreline around. It's accepting that things aren't going your way but you need to keep digging and fighting because you WILL get a chance.

You always need an element of luck in football. A team to miss an easy chance (Barnes, Vardy penalty), you to score at the right time or things to just generally go your way. But luck alone is not enough without the character. Anyone in the 90s would have seen that.

P.S We will need that luck and character against City this next time I think.

Arsenal

Got to give it to Poch. Thst team is horrific. Midfield of ****ing Sissoko-Winks-Skipp isn't even PL level

As much as I hate them, got to give Spurs credit - they always dig out a result and have done even without Kane and Alli. Hopefully Leicester can get something here but I seriously doubt it.

Sp*rs are gonna pick up 3 points despite having a c*nt no one's ever heard of called Skippy starting in their midfield. The way they've been going lately they could play an actual kangaroo and they'd still be jammy enough to pick up 3 points.

PENALTYYYYY

Pen!!

Not even sure that's a pen. Why didn't Maddinson take it first time?

Scenes if he misses

**** OFF VARDY

**** off Leicester

**** off Vardy

Knew it.

How do they keep ****ing doing this!?!!?

Typical

Never seen anything like it.

Lucky x**ts

Fvcking spawny bastards i have never known a team like it never!!!

Pirrera again giving the ball away

If they win the title, I'm going to throw myself in the Thames.

get in!! One more, come on!

Good wowdy

Fair play Leicester, great goal.

This is just ridiculous lol

I can't believe how lucky this team is wow

They've defended dreadfully, been awful in midfield and done nothing up front yet they're 3-1 up.

****

Could/should have dropped points in all of the last 4 games, end up winning all of them smh.

Son is quality though, was never in doubt he would score there..

We're not competing with Spurs this season, only annoying thing is that AM posters will tell us how great their team is despite them performing worse than we have recently. Only difference is their clinical finishing.

Tbh practically every player would do something like this at some stage, is being nice (pretty publically) to a dying child a sign of good character rather than treating anyone else you encountered with similar care and respect (even with a few jars down etc.)? Even Joey Barton visited hospices.

Anyway, hope he's shite tomorrow.
Dele got off a plane from a game went and hung out with a young spurs fan with cancer, because the kids Aunt asked Dele mum. My mates related to the kid said Dele was brilliant but would not lose at Fifa to the lad.

Loose what at Fifa? A wild animal? In that case I'm with Dele on that one. Fifa are shady but you don't want to be letting wild animals loose and shit...
