Actually I know what we should be concentrating on for the summer.

The cheese room.

Everything went to shit in the league when we announced there wasn't going to be one

Won't be as hard as previous windows.

No it isn't!

Yup.

Sounds positive, all the ITK so far I have heard here is off a big spend and a lot of movement. I’d imagine next season is almost going to be the second phase of Poch’s reign in some ways with a new team being built.

We miss a maurauding RWB. The pace and width that provides is so important to opening space in the middle for Eriksen and Alli. Trippier hasnt got the athleticism of Walker nor does Serge. We miss Walker big time. Dembele too, a calming presence in the middle who can get out of trouble easily using skill and body strength..someone players (especially defenders in trouble) can give the ball to and he'll bail them out.

N'Dombele and Joao Cancelo, Daniel Sturridge on a free as back up to Kane and Lo Celso to replace Eriksen would be a good window in my opinion. Sessegnon twins would be good too.

You lost me at Sturridge.

You talk of Toby leaving without advocating buying a replacement

I assume that you deemed the accident prone Sanchez to be an adequate substitute

He is not

We are so going to regret this

It is comparable to replacing Carrick with Zokora

If we sell Toby and say for example Jan gets another injury (which is very possible), then we're left with Sanchez, Foyth, possibly Dier (although I'm not sure about him generally) and as an emergency Davies. Is that good enough for a team going for the title? Not in my opinion.

For me, if we sell Toby we need to buy a replacement. IMHO.

What a chance to kick on, Arsenal are in disarray and Chelsea are losing Hazard and may have a transfer ban.

We have a chance to join City and Liverpool's level. Or we can fuck about and keep treading water.

I just hope Pochettino has the balls to walk if he isn't backed. Levy and Lewis will have nowhere to hide.

Pick a summer transfer window, any window from the last 10 years and it can be that one. They want success but to get it with the bare minimum spent.

There’s a massive post on SC within the last month which backs up what I’ve said and what I’ve thought for years.

They have spent an incredible amount of money on a state of the art training facility and new stadium in order to improve us as a club and to move us forward. They haven't done that in order to settle with the top 4.

So if a billion £££ is bare minimum in your eyes fair enough I suppose.

Sounds like all the cash is now moving to the playing squad. Not much more we can do with infrastructure. Unless I am reading that wrong.

You lost me at Sturridge.

I find it literally impossible to understand why his name keeps popping up, and why I always have to keep posting the same response.

We've just witnessed a season where injuries have left us bereft of dependable cover, and have seen countless posts about how we should remove the constantly injured players & replace them with bodies that can be depended upon.

Yet people keep mentioning Daniel bloody Sturridge, a guy who made Stephen Hawking look like a specimen of fitness.

There's nothing but complaints on here about Eriksen being a pussy, never willing to get stuck in, and how they've had enough of it. Yet people keep mentioning Daniel bloody Sturridge, a guy so pussied up he, in comparison, makes Eriksen look like John fucking Wick.

Day after day, there's posts on here about how Poch requires players who are willing to work, happy to press, have a fighting attitude and strong work ethic. Yet people keep mentioning Daniel Bloody Sturridge, a guy who's got such a strong work ethic that he actually could be a fully bonafide Scouser.

I never have, and never will understand the calls for Daniel bloody Sturridge.

I'll resist going into his noncy fucking goal celebration.

I knew you were going to say that. They’re seperate entities or so we were meant to believe.

Besides they haven’t spent a billion quid. They’ve spent money on land acquisition of about £100 million and they’ve borrowed approx £600 million from various sources for the stadium build.

I have no doubt levy has the club’s best interests at heart but he isn’t the one with the money. The person who is, doesn’t even have a role at the club. He gets his daughter to do any work on his behalf now. She’s the one who attends financial meetings with Levy.

We, the Spurs worshippers can go on a nice summer vacation, relax and let Daniel, the Poch, and his entourage figure out our team building and the next level. So stop speculating and stay cool.

Problem being it will be another foyth type signing which is young and needs time to adapt possibly 2/3 seasons, which is not much use if your trying for a title which I'm guessing we won't be.

We have the training facilities, the stadium and a decent team. We now need to pay top wages and spend money on top signings. I fear it might take another 5 years or so until we can really do that though. In the meantime I’m hoping for another miracle cup run.

I don't think we're in a bad position at all after last night. The key for me is reacting appropriately and actually doing what Liverpool did a couple of years back when they lost their star player, Coutinho.

Even if Erikssen leaves we just need to upgrade in a few key areas and we're going to be looking very strong:

GK: No worries here for next season.
RB: Need to bring someone in here, IMO go all out for AWB.
CB: Hold on to Toby and use this season to properly bring through Sanchez and get Foryth more playing time.
LB: Bring in Sess.
CM: Need to go all out for a strong midfield option to effectively replace Dembele.
AM: Bring in suitable Erikssen replacement if he goes spending at least 50% of the money we get for him.
ST: Sell Jansen, keep Llorente for another year, we have Son as cover.

For me that's it, and assuming we get £80m for Eriksen, and another £40m for Trippier, Jansen and one or two others that we shift on from the squad i reckon we're looking at a total spend of £200m which is only £80m NET.

For me if we can achieve the above (which is all very realistic) then we're in a good position next season to keep progressing.

I was lucky enough to have a ticket and be in Madrid last night and I was absolutely gutted at FT like everyone else.

Just like any other loss I thought about the missed chances, the team selection and decision making during the game etc and after a few hours sleep (in Madrid airport) I woke up and thought about the fact I'd just witnessed my team in a Champions League final. Something that most football fans will never get to experience.

The fan zone was like no other atmosphere I have ever experienced, the singing was absolutely relentless, it never let up and there was a minute where I just stopped to take it all in and felt as emotional as I did at the full time whistle against Ajax.

The fans were magnificent in the stadium and we were so close to willing the ball in the back of the net but we just didn't quite do enough. But we'll be back, some reinforcements in the summer and we'll be bang up there competing for more trophies.

Didn’t have a ticket to the game, but was in the fanzone all day.

The atmosphere was great, being abroad helps the camaraderie. Everyone just seemed so genuinely happy to have a chance to celebrate the club together, in a way that doesn’t happen in the Premier League.

Got loads of great videos from the last hour or two from inside the marquee when everyone was signing their lungs out. It was nice to see Ledley and the legends on stage singing along too.

Best spurs memory I think I’ve ever had. Winning is great, but before the game even kicked off was payoff enough for having season tickets through the 90s!

One positive aspect is that going forward we shouldn't be bullied by bigger clubs wanting our players. It could still happen, and that certain players may kick up a fuss, but we have two things in our favour - we should be able to demand a significant fee for said player and we have a coach who understands 'the greater good for the team' spirit, so will kick out any disrupters and will demand a big replacement.

Liverpool showed last year that you can afford to lose a big player for big money and address key areas that will eventually make you stronger.

Yes but you are ignoring the fact that money has ben available for the last 2 transfer windows and Poch has chosen not to spend it, because he couldn't get the very specific players he wanted. I know a lot of people still don't believe this even though pretty much every credible ITK has been saying it since January, not to mention Alan Sugar, Glen Hoddle and Poch himself, but I can assure you it's true.
