What could be the Impact of Bale signing a new Contract?

Well, fresh from the disappointment of Wigan losing to Le Arse I have had a drink, or two!

Then I got to wondering about next season if we were in the EL rather than the CL, what would be the impact on possible signings? The difference in income would be significant, as would be the exposure.

However, the impact of Gareth Bale signing a new contract could offset some of the loss, should we end up in the EL. He has won the triple this season as regards the individual player awards. His profile and, as a direct result, the club's is high. If he were to leave then, as fans, we would be gutted. If he were to sign we would be ecstatic. Whatever he does it would certainly make the news and put us in the spotlight for a while.

So, I suppose the question is, if GB signs a new contract, or affirm that he is staying with Spurs for next season, and we were in the EL, could we still attract the type of players we all think we need? My personal view is that he has started to realise some of his fantastic potential so we may attract players that would otherwise not sign for us. Could it be that Leandro Damiao decides to sign for us rather than Inter, for instance, as a direct consequence of wanting to play in the same team. Could it be that we might sign some players that would sign for other cubs, if we didn't have GB. Do you think that some players might forgo playing in the CL for the pleasure, or privilege, of playing in the same team as Gareth Bale.

I suppose it boils down to can the club now benefit from the profile of our star player? He can benefit from his image rights, but can the club, at the same time, benefit from the fact that Bale plays for us?

The signing of Bale will herald a new golden age.
Monkeys shall talk and discuss formations.
Penguins will fly and drop fish on Arsenal fans.
AVB shall be the beginning and the end.
A great Coliseum shall rise and produce miracles.
Redknapp he of the ginger head shall call this triffic and it shall be.

And one shall be born called Banjo
endowed with the strength of eight cosworths.
By his might he shall destroy the cheeky scum from up the road.

The men who are born of this age shall give birth to a new generation
one that know that Spurs are fucking great and live pure lives.

This age shall be known as the age of sexiness
and Spursking shall weep because we didn't sign an African.

Bale's already on a pretty long term contract so what will happen is he will get more money and perhaps the papers will talk less about him leaving - though that's less likely

Whilst you may well be right the fact that he has improved considerably as a player this year and having won 3 player awards in the last few weeks his marketability has also improved. As a club we are also improving and have been for 4 years, not to mention the improved training facilities. I think there is an good possibility of attracting better players due to all of the aforementioned reasons and GB signing a new contract would add to the attraction for other players.

It will only be less likely if we get a top four spot after Sunday but if we fail then it will be constantly whipped up in the media.
Bale could well leave us if Madrid get into his or his agents ear and could drag on like the modric saga all last summer and that is something I would prefer to avoid.

It is a vision I tell you. Provided by Mishmilla the three headed demon with the big boobies. Three signs shall mark this signing.

He of the red nose shall turn his back and the devils empire shall crumble.

The saphire team that answers to a girls name shall sign a left back who turns out to not be very good (although he does have his moments).

And the leader of the demon host shall be struck with temporary blindness.

Not all of these signs have appeared yet, but when they do, mark my words, the golden age cometh.

It would only make a difference to those trying to convince themselves and others that he's leaving. I'm confident that he'll stay but if not we'll survive.

It means we can ask for more money when we sell him......

Or it may get some bigger names to want to join us to play with him....

Could go eather way really
