Interesting thread and I'm very intrigued to see what Ramos will do, one thing I'll say is that I think we will see more youngsters given a chance. In Sevilla he never hesitated to play youngsters especially on the wings eg Puerta, Navas, Capel. I have a feeling he could use any combination of our centrall midfielders and tell them just to protect the back 4. One thing about Sevilla is they make many chances from the wings wether that is their wide midfielders or full backs. As mentioned earlier I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Bale & Ekotto on the left when fit. I'm sure Ramos won't be happy seeing how narrow we play especially on the left, always cutting inside. He could revive Routledge and maybe give Rose a chance if he's fit.

Hopefully not just concern himself with first team matters but also the player factory .

Slim down the squad by about 12 players and replace them with 4 of real quality . Tell Commoli who he wants and that he is not interested in excuses .

Work them harder .

The fact is that we all know what our defence is going to be for the forseeable future. I dont think Bale will have a definative position, like Alave's at Seville he will likely be used left back and left wing, which is fine with me.

Its the midfield and attack that will be interesting.

My big resistance to signing new players just now it that our squad is so big with undoubted young talent that needs to be managed carefully. This is where I think Ramos is in another league to Jol.

Players like Taarbat, KPB and Rose need to be developed, were exactly they are going to play is another question. Interesting times ahead.

I think more than anything the training and tactics will improve by leaps and bounds.

I reckon the thinking behind the acquisition of Juande Ramos is to get better productivity from the players in games, especially high profile ones. Ramos has recently accrued experience of winning trophies, this indicate to a degree his tactical capabilities in games, his training methods and mental preparations towards his players I.e how to manipulate tactics to win crucial games (crucial games win you trophies).

The record shows that Jol rarely won crucial games while at spurs, was he unlucky or was it his incapabilities to adapt his tactics to win games, his training methods, his mental preparations towards his players?

After all is said and done, i really hope Spurs benefit at the end of the day.

You fucking know it mate.

There are players like BAE, Zokora, Ghaly & Kaboul who IMO, would've thrived under the likes of Mourinho & Wenger, so who's to say Ramos can't get more from these kinds of players?

we need to be looking closer to home rather than writing off our underachievers and spending more millions on personnel changes
I hope your views are not those of Levy. Perhaps they are.

It's obvious that none of our midfielders are capable of captaining the side. There are some fine players there but no leaders. I expect Ramos will start where he means to continue and insist on getting someone on in January even if it's another "Davids" to plug the hole of this season.

It's also obvious that we have no cover for King which is too much of a risk. If King isn't going to stay fit then we will also need an experienced central defender in January.

In Ramos we trust..... to use his strong position to get what he needs off the board.

I would like to see the players currently on loan (O'Hara, Barnard, Alnwick) and Ghaly back training with the first team squad. Let's see if they can make the grade under Ramos.
