Tottenham signed French midfielder Ndombele from Ligue 1 side Lyon for a club record £53.8m, but how will the 22-year-old fare in the Premier League?

I'm remimded of Poch's quote along the lines of 'If I'd had Dembele as a youngster I'd have made him a superstar'. Well, here you go Poch - here's your bloke - get to work.

If I recall that pass completion rate stat of 89.1% this past season, was right up there with the leagues best.

This guy is outstanding. The engine & power that Sissoko possesses married with the skill & tecnhinal ability of Dembele. Ndombele & Winks in the double-pivot would frightening: both press-resistant, excellent techinical ability & with Ndombele being the engine, WInks will have the room to quarterback our play from deep.

Should Eriksen leave, then I hope we invest in leftie with bags of pace to come off right wing. With Son & this new wide-forward the new season could see us land our first trophy.

Please may this hope continue.

I think if we keep Eriksen we'll be able to see the best of him next season with Ndombele in the team. He has the ability to draw players to him like Dembele did and in the process creates space for Eriksen.

Additionally I'm hopeful we'll also see a big improvement in our defensive stats
