Where is a good place to go drinking pre match in and around Wembley prior to the match. Or somewhere handy to the ground close by?

Highest home attendance for any English club, in any competition, is 84,467 for Man City v Stoke in 1934.
Man Utd's record is 83,260 against Arsenal in 1948.
Funnily, even the United attendance wasn't at Old Trafford - they played at Maine Road due to WWII bomb damage.

Feasible we could top one, if not both of those.

I couldn't imagine what it's like to step out onto a pitch in front of that many people.
My grandfather did it a few times, including 82,000 for Bradford Park Avenue v Man Utd, but he never really talked about it.

Interesting. I wonder if we have the largest home support (not total gate) ever in English football.

Good point, is there segregation of pubs for fans like cup finals?

With an average home attendence of 11k give them the Wetherspoons a mile from the ground? Give them a taste of British culture.

That's unnecessarily cruel. What have they ever done to you? :D.

Based on previous experiences, the best place to go drinking before a game at Wembley is anywhere but Wembley.

Also, presumably they won't be selling drink during the game?

Why would the club not sell the remaining tickets when they are allowed full capacity? Makes no sense.

I take it you're not aware of UEFA restrictions...
I'm willing to guess the front 4/5 rows of each lower tier block are tarped off, as will be a handful of seats either side of the Monaco support.

Not sure about that. I vaguely remember trying to buy tickets in the lower tier and initially being offered row 2.

You may be right about the away fans though.

Just the first row I believe. My ticket is row 2 of a bottom tier.

Fair enough... Even just first row being unavailable will rule out about 800-1000 seats.
We won't hit 90,000 but we'll be as close as it's possible to be under the restrictions UEFA implement.

Ive just phoned ticket office for Yankspurs benefit;

There are currently NO tickets available for our match with Monaco

unless Danny boy is keeping a few back hoping the price will spike on Stub Hub I would say it is a sell out?

tickets are on sale for lower tier near the away fans, presumably further returns plus a small amount on the upper tier.

Blocks 112-115 & 518-519

Official site says "over 80,000". Now I'm guessing then it's less than 85,000 otherwise they would have used that as a benchmark.

The remaining would I imagine be made up of corporate hospitality and Wembley restrictions.

So we've sold as many as we could possibly have, which would justify Levy's pricing and the group ticket idea, even if the way it was done was a bit unfair.

I wonder whether we'll sell out the other two games after the novelty has worn off?

4 blocks previously allocated to away fans, now on general sale. Monaco must have returned all but a handful of tickets.

Seems to be the entire South East corner so that has to be the returned Monaco allocation. Hopefully word spreads quickly so people snap them up.

I don't know (as of 3.47pm) , looks like the jokers have just released some more... has changed so much, I guess we have no real idea how many are really left.

It's weird how they're doing this!
