Think we lost our singing ability when we lost our religion. Used to be that everyone was used to singing together in church and it would transfer to the terraces.

If i ever find myself in a church I do indeed spontaneously start chanting who is the wanker in the black.

Or 'There's only One God... (except in polytheistic religions like Hinduism)'

Is that what you mean?

It doesn't affect Liverpool or West Ham.

Football is our religion, WHL our church and the terraces are our pews.

Baffles me how this isn't replicated for Poch. Seems our nouveau fans are too busy recording themselves on their phones and our gillet wearing classic fit wrangler adorning brexiteers from Chingford are too pissed and tired to bother.

Drummer definitely helped to keep starting it up and the fact that BMJ had no hair but we didn’t care

Does need to be started up again properly. Sometimes it’s started but is usually the stupid slower version

Pochettinos blue and white army boom boom boom boom

Words fail me as to why you’d want the slower version. It’s like all our fucking songs need to be at the pace of a funeral march!!

He problem is that most of you, with the best of intentions can’t come up with a winning chant to save your lives.

We need new ones, they need to be catchy, short and easy for anyone to pick up, not something that uses the rhyming scheme from an early 00’s one hit wonder.

We aren’t the bin dippers, who are used to belting out You’ll never walk alone, most of our lot can’t sing glory glory beyond the fourth line.

I think part of the trouble is people being unnecessarily snobby about it all. On the one hand you've got people saying we need to come up with some new songs, but then the same people turn their noses up at anything that isn't some 100% original piece of music that no other club can possibly have sung before. Short of hiring Adele and Elton bloody John to pen a few tunes for us, we're going to have to stick to well-known pop songs that most people know the tune to and not be so snobbish about "Oh but Torquay United used to sing a similar song about their left back in the 70s, we can't possibly have that" etc. I'm not suggesting we start singing You'll Never Walk Alone or something but this prerequisite people have about not using any tune that another clubs have ever used in a chant is completely unrealistic. And there's a reason certain one-hit wonders etc. get used and it's because they work as chants and are easy to sing along to.

It's not been easy coming up with a catchy tune for Tanguy but after ruling out some absolute muck I think I've finally cracked it. To the tune of Ebeneezer Goode:

Eeezer good, eezer good (Woah-ohhhh) Ndombelee’s are good
Eeezer good, eezer good (Woah-ohhhh) Ndombelee’s are good
Eeezer good, eezer good (Woah-ohhhh) Ndombelee’s are good
Eeezer good, eezer good (Woah-ohhhh) Ndombelee’s are good

Ndombele's got an assist?
Loooooovelllllllyyyyyyyy

Eeezer good, eezer good (Woah-ohhhh) Ndombelee’s are good
Eeezer good, eezer good (Woah-ohhhh) Ndombelee’s are good
Eeezer good, eezer good (Woah-ohhhh) Ndombelee’s are good
Eeezer good, eezer good (Woah-ohhhh) Ndombelee’s are good

To Amy Winehouse, You Know I’m no Good:

Meet you downstairs in The Market Place,
In your new Nike shirt with your ITK,
You say 'Sessegnon twins gonna sign today?',
We’ll snap them up like Tanguy Ndombele,
'Cause Lo Celso’s our guy,
Loan them back Jack Clarke and fly,
By the time they close the transfer door,
We’re stacking up stars like Dybala,
Levy treated the Spurs,
Like we knew he could,
Poch warned him there’d be trouble,
But Daniel, you’re so good

After AC/DC's T.N.T.

"Cause he's TND! He's dynamite! TND! And he'll win the fight! TND! He's a power load! TND! Watch him explode!"

This song's quite popular at the moment with the cricket success over the summer, must be something we can fit to the tune?

Honestly I remember the whole stadium chanting MArtin Jol's Blue and White army for the entire half of a game against Sevilla years back.
SImple but thunderous.

I think the cleverer, more wordy chants easily lose momentum when it comes to creating 'wall of sound'. You need something that you can drop in and out of without being counted in.
That Sevilla game was a special occasion though, wasn't it announced he was getting sacked shortly after. I remember the game after coming into the stadium to bursts of fuck off mourinho.

Best chant for the wall of sound recently was the Tottenham boys chant. Most people knew the words and it tended to ring round the stadium for long periods. Hopefully now we are back home we can ramp it up again!

I have a vision of the white wall, with a drummer pounding out We Will Rock You, singing "we are, we are Tottenham"
