Got the news today that a Watford supporting friend went to the Wolves game on Saturday, and has yet to return to his family home. He was attacked on his way to the station and is now in a coma.

Wherever I've travelled with Spurs, the thought of not getting home safe & well has never crossed my mind, this is a real shocker to me, what with it being a bit close to home.

Please click on this link, I'm not asking for donations, but if you could have a read, share and perhaps say a little prayer, I'm sure it would mean the world to Nick & his family.

Fantastic to see fans of so many clubs rally round for this.

I hope Nick gets well soon, & that the vile scum who hurt him get caught & punished.

It's so sad that people are attacked just because of which club they support.

Fingers crossed for a full and speedy recovery.

Absolutely disgusting... no other words for it. If this happened under the railway bridge presumably near to Wolverhampton station in no doubt a busy area, where the fuck were the police?

No fan should have to face the prospect of not getting home from going to watch their team play.

Disgusting. I hope to see some strong support from Wolverhampton and hope that they catch who did it.

Been all over the country with Spurs and Wolves away was the only one where I felt like it was the 1970's. Animals.

Any update on his condition?

A Watford FC fan who was attacked after a match in Wolverhampton has been moved to a specialist care unit, police have said.

Nic Cruwys suffered head injuries in the attack on 7 March.

The 44-year-old, from Hemel Hempstead, is in a serious but stable condition, West Midlands Police said.

Seven teenagers, aged between 13 and 18, have been bailed after being arrested on suspicion of wounding the father-of-two.

Mr Cruwys' family has expressed their thanks for the "overwhelming support and best wishes" they have received since the attack.

In a statement they said they are taking "each day as it comes".

Det Insp Toni Naylor said the investigation is "still very much ongoing" and appealed for anyone with information to contact the force.
