I much prefer Wimmer. Wanyama did very well v Man City (MOM by a country mile) but he dropped off too deep, too quickly a couple of times. Didn't expect him to be faultless under the circumstances and the same applies to Wimmer, but I'd prefer Wimmer all day long at CB, not least so that Wanyama can continue pulling up trees in midfield.

You're a disgrace to your fellow selfish whining professionals Wanyama. Take away his spaghetti until he learns to act the part of a modern day footballer.

I thought he played well bearing in mind the circumstances. Well done. Happy for him to play there again if need be. A multi task Spurs team...great.

this is key - same hymn book as Eric Dier and others - what does the team need. That ethos is powerful and shows why the media efforts to paint Dier, others as unsatisfied if not in their preferred role is stuff and nonsense

He was very good against city, but we know he can lose concentration and can give unnecessary fouls away. You can't do that in your own box.

He's just a terrific player, always want him on the pitch. Don't know how we managed without him.

I remember thinking Palacios was irreplaceable under Rednapp too, then after injury he came back and was never the same. Hope Wanyama goes on and on.....
