Before his injury, he was arguably our best outfield player this season - this was before Eriksen started playing well.
I had to hit the agree button for OmarsComing :\ I feel dirty!

If Wilshere gets in then the whole thing a farce. He's been injured for more of the season than Walker, and has been decidedly average. If Wilshere gets in despite his injury problems than Walker's injury shouldn't count against him either
has walker even started traning ? didnt jack play yesterday ?If Wilshere gets in then the whole thing a farce. He's been injured for more of the season than Walker, and has been decidedly average. He was not out best outfield player, he was the best at showing what i expect our players to show character, heart and determination.
I would say that CM is a more important position to fill than RB. IMO Wilshere is world class and although I rate Walker, he isn't as important to the team as Wilshere is.
What we should be moaning about is Lampard going ahead of XYZ. And if I see Cleverly in the squad, well I might give up life.
Yeah but Walker's England's best right back and Wilshere is overrated and inconsistent
I think squad utilisation is the key. Taking Smaling and Jones who are not as good at RB but can play there and being able to take more 'match winners' is more important.
It's a numbers game, sadly. With only 23 in the squad and a tournament that could be all over for England in only 6 weeks time, there really is no space for players who aren't currently fit enough to play for their clubs. The likely scenario if they took him is for Walker to aggravate the injury in training and bugger up the balance of the squad. I really can't understand why he and club's medical staff didn't bite the bullet and have it sorted surgically in March. Left to its own devices, this sort of injury is rarely resolved by rest alone.I see your point, but I still think Walker is better than Johnson and should have been taken despite his recent injuries. He was superb for us during the first part of the season when the rest of the team was poor

Nah, he was our best outfield player. He always shows heart and determination, even when he plays like a headless chicken.
What was he the best at ?
No Tottenham players in the squad (apart from Jermain Defoe). That's got to be the first for a while, possibly as long as I can remember.
The only reason Southampton have any players in there now is because we've now so few english players in the big boy teams we've no bloody choice.
COME ON ENGLAND
Take Phil Jones (please lol), Smalling or Cleverly (I know he's only back up but even so), if these three were at any club other than ManU, West Brom or Stoke for example (which they probably will be soon as thats about their level imo), they wouldnt have got within a mile of getting an England cap.... if the reports are correct, Lallana will be at Liverpool and Shaw at ManU by the time the tournament starts, thus confirming the importance of playing for a "big boy team".
