Hal Robson Kanu anyone?!?! Will sit on the bench and then score a worldie just when you need him to! Normally left wing or CF, but Poch could convert him to play as a proper no. 9. He's only 27, lives in London, currently unattached to any club, so probably free = the perfect Levy signing!!!!

:D

If we lose out on anybody that we want to West Ham they would never live it down. That can't happen.

The thing is our €18m offer was a good one, I really don't think he is worth much more than that right now. If West Ham are going well above that to say £25m I'm really not sure I would be happy for us to enter that bidding war.

and we wouldn't! So don't worry about that! Our striker purchasing has been a complete farce for over a year now

You think West Ham fans would have learned from Batshuayi that affording the fee is a small % of the deal (unless you are in opposite world like spurs). They would be better off challenging Palace for Benteke.

We dont need to lose out to West ham in the pursuit of janssen if we just get the deal done, losing out on a signing to a tin pot club like them would be embarassing.
Also with two signings gone if that was the case would leave us scratching around for options C,D and E.

Is he good enough to play for us this season of Kane for injured? Seems

Agreed but then striking options or quality ones cost bigger bucks as a rule and thats where we run into Trouble, because the operates a strict policy which isnt likely to change so we have to accept it.

Agree. Still get a feeling we are scratching around for the best deal. If we have to sell some more fringe players to get a top striker in, then so be it. Just don't play out months of the window and being in a 21 year old kid who's never played in the prem. He may be a superstar, but such a chance we are taking. At least we know Berahino would score goals

Do you think we will go after berahino again he ticks the boxes on knowing the league and being the right age etc, but it does look from the outside that the trail has gone cold.

Would it be fair to say that apart from Modric, Bale and Berbatov(I'm sure one or two others) that our outgoings tend to be hassle free and under the radar.
It just seems that every season there seems to be one or two protracted deals, highlighted in the media , that come to nothing or go the other way. People are wondering why, or indeed who is at the bottom of this.
No, our exits drag on for weeks too. There were big multiple club sagas last summer involving Capoue, Stambouli and Chiriches; certain clubs thought they had Fazio and then didn't. That's just transfers. Just because you weren't bothered by these ones doesn't mean they didn't happen.

That must be rubbish. Smalling is Man Uniteds only good centre back.

This 'Jinxed' fellow also said everything was agreed for Lacazette ans suggested Tore was done months ago (he hasn't signed yet).

That being said, I agree, West Ham beating us to a player would be absolutely unacceptable.
