Judging by Mourinho's interview today, he might not be there in the summer.....

I know we have a lot of coaches but I can't see Mourinho wanting to come to Spurs to be Harry's assistant.

Not surprising really, Jenas has hardly been used this season, even when fit Harry seems to prefer the ever improving Hudd and the reliable Wilson in the center.

There's a good player in Jenas somewhere, unfortunatly we only seem to see glimpses of it.

"Knows the crowd don't like him..."

See, that, for me, isn't entirely true, he just frustrates the crap out of me*.

When he's on form he's absolutely fantastic to watch - powerful runs through the middle, playing the link up man when the ball needs working to the other side of the pitch, arriving late on the edge of the box etc. but when he's off it's like watching a sock full of wet newspaper hanging in the wind. He flaps about a bit, shoulders drop after a couple of off-target passes then i have to assume he's just absorbed into the grass for the remainder of the game as he vanishes.

Not just at Spurs either, he's done that throughout his career.

*no, frustrate the crap out of me is not a euphemism for anal sex.

Knows the crowd don't like him

Now just this statement alone is a bit strong and I'm not sure if JJ himself would have said it. Its nothing personal because when he plays well he gets cheered just like any other player. Ok fair enough there are some favourites and they won't get as much stick as others when having a bad game but how did they become favourites?

2 good games out of 5 is not good enough to warrant JJ becoming a favourite and I'm sure if he takes the Bale or even Bentley attitude to his game and steps up he will fast become a favourite. I still think a JJ on form would be a better partner to Palacios because I feel he has goals in him, I just wish he felt it too

I share Rock's view that he simply one of the most frustrating players to watch and is the definition of inconsistency. With our ambitions we can't afford to have players who blow hot and cold as much as he does/has. I don't doubt he has ability but all too often he plays as if he's never seen a football before and doesn't know his teammates game. Perhaps Italian football will suit him better.

I would like to see him replaced in the summer. I think its time for him to change clubs now. Try a new challenge and possibly get back to the player he is capable of being. I'd like to see us move for Parker now that West Ham have new owners. Parker and Sandro in for Jenas and O'Hara. Freshen things up a bit.

Sandro, yes (or another enforcer type).

But our other midfield purchase, whatever else they can do, must be one that scores goals

The frustrating thing i find about him is he'll pass square but not follow that pass with a forward run to cause problems and when he does go forward he runs into blind alleys, the Leeds game he went charging forward once into the box and i was waiting for the shot or cutting pass that never came.

Such a frustrating player, i think Italian football will suit him.

Bobby Robson rated him very highly and he was no fool but i sometimes wonder what he actually saw in training never made it onto the pitch.

Okkkkk so Jenas is not good enough for us but good enough for Inter Milan?

I hope its true. Really dont care where he goes. Sooner the better.

Scott Parker plz!!!!

I know most of you will not agree but i would really like us to approach West Spam for Mark Noble... Very good all round player with potential to become future England star. Always plays with passion and heart, basically the complete opposite to Penas.

I am recovering from a herniated disc in my back but will gladly carry him to wherever, or whoever wants him. Not soon enough. Never has a Spurs player frustrated me more with their lack of effort, desire and successful application of basic footballing skills.

So could we take that to mean you won't miss him or you want to save the club some money on the air fair?

I dont think its anymore unlikely than when they signed Muntari. In fact Mourinho is no stranger to this sort of squad player, remember Sidwell for Chelsea?

He has the athleticism and technique to be a world class player - even has pretty good tactical nouse. His attitude is presumably OK and apparently he's a team player with good attitude.

His glaring shortcomings are he lacks the unshakable confidence top players have & doesn't seem to have that obsessive drive to win at whatever cost. You only notice Jenas' weaknesses so much because the other parts of his game are so bloody strong.
Technically and athletically he's not far short of the likes of Gerrard or Lampard - in terms of drive, conviction and heart - Jenas is, unfortunately, a million miles short!
