Tottenham are set to hand out the new stadium's first lifetime ban to a pitch invader. A supporter ran onto the pitch in the second-half last night Champions League quarter-final first leg, where he was confronted by City’s Fabian Delph before being removed by stewards, leaving Mauricio Pochettino furious.

What an absolute moron. Should have shit kicked out of him and then banned for life. I honestly have trouble trying to understand what must be going through these peoples small and obviously simple minds. Banned from our new stadium for life 2 games in. Nice one.
Makes you wonder if it was a gooner.
Cant comprehend anyone being so dumb.

Appeared out of nowhere. Thought he must have come from the corporate or players area in the West?

He'll most likely be on 'I'm a desperate Celebrity, please look at me' any time soon. He's as recognisable as most of the other dross that seem to get on it.

Should be banned from EVERY stadium in the country. There's every possibility these fucktards are fans of other clubs and do it to get another team in the shit.

indeed, is there any report or anything on people that do this, as what's to stop someone from going to another club?

Nobody has mentioned the other guy that ran across the pitch in a yellow jacket just after the first one, I guess he might have been a steward but nobody has mentioned it and I am starting to wonder if I imagined it.

A life time ban for running on the pitch imo is far too server- I don't think he physically touched anyone, people don't get that for racial abuse. In all honesty a 2-4 year ban is enough punishment.

No, it isn't too severe. Recently here in the UK we've had footballers attacked on the field of play and who knows what this idiot intended. Every televised football match in the UK we see ignorant people in the crowd verbally vilely abusing any footballer who is close enough to hear them. And this is just 'normal' abuse without any racial slurs added. If strong enough action is not taken against these cowards, for that is what they are, then the problem will just get worse.

Kick them out for good, and as someone commented above, from every stadium in the UK, and if that doesn't work then stronger measures need to be taken by the authorities.

You issue the life-time ban as punishment to this yahoo - but also as a deterrent to the next person that thinks its a great idea to run on the pitch.

What did the guy who hit Grealish get - besides jail time?
