I think you could argue that tonight's game is as important as any this season. A good win where we play well and we will have put a difficult period behind us. Given the fixtures we have coming up there'd be no reason not to be positive about our prospects till the end of the season. If we don't play well it becomes more than a blip. Our confidence may start to ebb away and other teams will start to smell blood.

Two positive are being at home and the good news on Muamba. Hopefully both should impact on us taking a really positive approach.

3 points crucial
Good performance important to get rid of the cobwebs

Think we'll get both, comfortable 2-0 win.

If anything, Muntari has been rejuvenated by his recent loan move from Inter to AC Milan so hopefully Spurs players can put his poor form for Sunderland out of their mind and get on with the game.
This. If anything can inspire us to glory it's the fact that Muntari is back on form.

(I was watching the Milan game from last night while I was typing)

If we don't win this (I think we will win) I can see our season falling apart. We'll surely get a positive result tonight, won't we? I'm going for Tottenham 3 v 0 Stoke. COYS

After our last three results and the happenings on Saturday, our team need to be 100% focused on securing the 3 points.

We owe Stoke big time after our game at their place. So there should be no excuses from our players tonight, total commitment, total effort = 3 points.

(+ no f ups from the Referee this time please)

Anyone know who the ref is tonight?

If it is Foy again.... F:eek:mg:EekK!

Tottenham have drawn 99 games at White Hart Lane in the Premier League era.
Matthew Etherington has scored four goals in his last four Premier League appearances against Spurs.
Spurs have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their seven Premier League meetings with Stoke City.
Stoke have already earned more points away from home (14) this season than they managed in the whole of 2010-11 (12).
Despite losing their last three Premier League games, Spurs still have more points (after 28 games) than in any previous Premier League season.
Spurs haven’t lost four Premier League games in a row since November 2004 and haven’t lost back to back home games since September 2008.
Stoke have scored a league high 37 per cent of their goals from headers.
Tottenham have netted a league-low proportion of 4 per cent of their goals from headers.
The Potters have conceded a league-high 54 per cent of their goals in the first half of games this season.
Stoke have scored the highest proportion of set piece goals in the Premier League (59 per cent).

Really need the defence to have a top game tonight..

I prefer the top highlighted line.

I also believe adding to the 2nd highlighted line will be key. Get a good lead and make them come out.

My predictions for tonight:

Spurs 7 Stoke 0 (Goals for Bale (3), Modric, Walker, Lancaster and Friedel)

Everton 5 Arsenal 0 (Van Persie sent off and suspended for rest of season for kicking Everton fan in the face after he shouted 'it's an early bath for you Van Persie')

Man City 5 Chelsea 4 (Daniel Sturridge forgets which team he plays for and scores a last minute wonder own goal thus destroying Chelsea's confidence and causing them to both appoint and sack John Terry as manager between now and the end of the season)

Didn't they already appoint Terry as manager? I mean, he was the guy giving the orders against Napoli right?

Met some of that lot in Floyd's, watching the Wigan game, when I was there in September. Ended up doing silly but enjoyable all-day drinking in Manhattan with one of them afterwards, then going on with him and his mate to an uber-swanky house party on Park Avenue. T'was marvellous.
