Son, Townsend, Alli, and Carroll have been impressive.

Alderweireld wishes he had two of those free headers back.

Trippier has been able to put in some good crosses.

Lamela disappointing again. (sigh)

I am starting to feel that Erik's way of football just isn't suited to us. Even in EL he looks useless...He flatters to deceive and has no meaningful use for us. I'm sure he's a good lad and he certainly tries but everything he seems to try doesn't come off and the end result of all his huff and puff is he loses the ball or gives it away far too often, has no point when he does have the ball unless his 1 touch pass or through ball comes off - (which isn't often I might add) and the only thing left is a sour feeling that he only has unnecessary touches, jinxes and tricks that aren't valuable to the play.

Rabona aside I don't see what he's offered us over the last 2 years. Unless he can start to use the ball better, or make himself a more useful link up player I think MoPo is spot on with his assessment of him and I think he really is in the last chance saloon. If he doesn't put in a lot more consistent games between now and Jan I think he should be sold.

He may be frustrating to watch, this match is a prime example, but what he does bring is assists. He has made some key passes that not many of our players can make resulting in goals. The problem is , is that the spotlight is on him. And every mistake or misplaced pass is picked up upon. He been really inconsistent and it just isn't happening, but plenty of our players gave the ball away in that first half . So it kind of a vicious circle for the lad.

So the Lamela hate brigade is out again with their pitch forks. Good to see SC has their Jenas back.

In all seriousness, he hasnt been great. But he hasnt been awful either. And he's playing on the left, which he shouldn't be. So drop the fucking pitchforks.

He did miss that sitter in the middle tho

It's not even as if you can say Lamela hasn't been given a chance. Potch has given him more than enough time to impress.
He's taken over from Poor Bobby, theres an excuse for everything now

are you blind?? running into players, misplaced passes and poor control throughout the team. no shape, our 2nd goal was offside, they should have scored a 2nd, we are playing a poor side at home and making them look good.
You don't have a clue about football do you mate.

This is our 2nd string pretty much and most of them haven't ever played together. We're also playing against a league champion side who held their own against Celtic. These games are like FA Cup finals for teams like this so it's never going to be easy, especially not when we give them a goal head start after 5 mintues!!

They've just parked the bus on the edge of their box and counter-attacked. It is not easy to get through that but we have scored 2 decent goals and as they tire more we will probably score more. These games aren't easy!
Aside from a Rose error and a header they've attacked quickly but haven't looked that dangerous.

Do you honestly expect us to just go out there and be 5-0 up at half-time?!

We are feeling our way into the game as are a lot of our new players. Back4 has looked fine, Carrol and Dier have been Tidy, Lamela and Townsend have had moments of good and moments of bad and Ali and Son have looked class.

Get a grip.

BT's stream service is shit and ruined the first half for me. I have a much better illegal stream now, that's just not right.

So the lamela love brigade are out blaming everyone else for him being shite & trying to make out he hasn't been that bad. Drop the fucking spliff brah ;)

Not me I have been arguing in his favourite all week
He is making me look a proper tool tonight against a team that can't even spell fc properly :p

Do you think ali could play in cm? We could use someone with his pace and adventure. Dier,Bentelab, Carroll and dembele are pretty much unflavoured pot noodle. Extremely safe
Who knows. He can probably do a good job in outfield position if necessary, if you know what I mean. He's got that moxy. He's still a pup too. In a couple of yrs I smugly predict he will be heart of this team. Setting the tempo etc.

High: Alli looks so good on the ball...strong, composed and with a burst of pace.

Low: Lamela looks like a little boy lost again, and really needs to stop running in to opposition players.

Other: Danny Rose.
