Nothing he has been like it for 2 seasons but every body seems blind to it
Or maybe you are blinded by your agenda which you've made abundantly clear over the past few years.

Rose was great against Everton just a couple of weeks ago. Nothing has happened to him, he's just not having one of the best games. Get over yourselves.

I think that's been pretty atrocious. Open game for the neutrals and its livelier than our usual Europa group stage fare but from a Spurs perspective...

All of the back four look dodgy. I know they wont have played together and there will be errors, but it isn't just in organisation. Some rank bad individual errors. And can Alderweireld stop playing that miracle long ball every fucking time? Ta muchly.

Dier has been non-existent. Get him off and save his legs for Sunday as I assume he will play. Carroll had a decent first half hour, has been a bit sloppy towards the end of the half.

Townsend has been in and out of the game, but should have two assists from two decent passes (one very good). Alli did brilliantly for the goal, but I don't think he suits playing so advanced all the time. Son has perked up a bit and looks more comfortable as the half went on, and has two goals. Good confidence boost for him.

Lets not talk about Lamela...

These guys don't look a bad outfit with the ball at their feet, but we have been pretty sloppy at the back and careless with the ball and are gifting them opportunities. I want to see us take control of the game in the second half and be more polished with our play.

So the Lamela hate brigade is out again with their pitch forks. Good to see SC has their Jenas back.

In all seriousness, he hasnt been great. But he hasnt been awful either. And he's playing on the left, which he shouldn't be. So drop the fucking pitchforks.

In fairness, most days you can't decide who to hate on more.. Levy, Poch, you were even f@cking ragging on Eriksen recently. You have multiple Jenases (ooer) so I'd be wary of trying to take the moral high ground, it will make you look silly. And I say this as a Lamela apologist as well.. but he's been pretty rank this half.

Score a third
Get N'Jie on to save Son for the weekend
Score a fourth
Bring on Winks and Onomah for Dier and Alli with 20 minutes to go
Score a fifth

Lamela is really short on confidence, I would keep him on for at least some of the second half then take him off if there is no improvement.
Yes. The last thing we need to do is destroy any shred he has left. Give him 15 or 20 more and if no improvements then make a switch.

Alli is going to be a Rolls Royce midfielder btw.

he seems to really be wilting,... loses possession almost every time he gets it tonight. the more confident his team mates play, it seems the more he becomes a deer in the headlights. in the slo mo replay of Son celebrating is second goal with Alli, you can see Lamela behind them and he looks pissed off,... everyone else is celebrating and smiling.... wtf?
Lol, this simply isn't true. You see him celebrate with clenched fist and run towards Son and Alli the moment the goal is scored. Fact is he was in the box drawing the defenders that left Son free. And he started the whole move.

Not the biggest Lamela fan - but don't make shit up...

are you blind?? running into players, misplaced passes and poor control throughout the team. no shape, our 2nd goal was offside, they should have scored a 2nd, we are playing a poor side at home and making them look good.

Think we are pressing too much. It weird, it been the opposite of what can be said of some of our performances - it is a lot quicker and really high tempo but it seems a bit chaotic. Just need a little bit more control and discipline. It has been all us. Kind of reminds me of the first game under Tim against west ham.

Carrol going forward as been good, same with Ali too. Son as been great, some lovely first touches.

Lamela... trying really hard, wanting the ball, just not happening is it? Hope he has a better second half. Townsend as been a little bit quiet.

I am starting to feel that Erik's way of football just isn't suited to us. Even in EL he looks useless...He flatters to deceive and has no meaningful use for us. I'm sure he's a good lad and he certainly tries but everything he seems to try doesn't come off and the end result of all his huff and puff is he loses the ball or gives it away far too often, has no point when he does have the ball unless his 1 touch pass or through ball comes off - (which isn't often I might add) and the only thing left is a sour feeling that he only has unnecessary touches, jinxes and tricks that aren't valuable to the play.

Rabona aside I don't see what he's offered us over the last 2 years. Unless he can start to use the ball better, or make himself a more useful link up player I think MoPo is spot on with his assessment of him and I think he really is in the last chance saloon. If he doesn't put in a lot more consistent games between now and Jan I think he should be sold.

Dier should be taken off considering our only CM options are: Dier, Carroll, Alli and Winks.

If he plays the full match I can see Crystal palace causing us a lot of problems

I'd like to see N'jie, Onomah and Winks in the second half. I guess Son, Dier and Alli are the ones that we need to save for sunday.

Do you think ali could play in cm? We could use someone with his pace and adventure. Dier,Bentelab, Carroll and dembele are pretty much unflavoured pot noodle. Extremely safe

He's been playing "nominally" on the left, but a heat map would show he's been central more of the time.

No need for him tonight. Would rather have rested him and played winks.

Agree, however probably giving him valuable game time in a new position. Although he's done far better than I expected, he still has moments where he looks like a CB in a CDM role when going forward. He'll get there though.....

It's not even as if you can say Lamela hasn't been given a chance. Potch has given him more than enough time to impress.
