I'd much prefer us to be putting £14m to a Premiership proven calibre' player than another La Liga, Serie A guy who may or may not be the next supetstar (insert name here).

Well it looks as if our new manager is off to the usual reaction; his first transfer interest has elicited six negative responses plus two who don't believe it's source.

Our English players, aside from Walker, have probably been our worst performers all year. If you look back at the players we've signed from other prem teams, they've been as hit and miss as the players we've signed from abroad

Agreed but hopefully, after seeing how some of the English lads have come on at Southampton, he can get ours going again.
