Just pointing out the obvious. People really seem to go window to window forgetting about the last one.
They point to us getting more money than ever before, but that's the case every single year. TV rights go up. Sponsorship deals get bigger. We go from no Europe, to Uefa Cup, to Champions league. We have more income every year than the last.
We are not a club that will suddenly spend hundreds of millions with no sales to offset it.
It's likely to be Eriksen, isn't it? May be more, Trippier, Dier, who know's.
And the squad arguably needs it. Few out, few hungrier players in.
Right but despite that you can see why people may think that we will spend money this summer
Record profits from last year of £113m
CL run an estimated £100m
Making more than expected from stadium revenue already. (£800k P/W)
And that doesn't include Prem and TV money accumulated over the years.
We didn't spend a penny in either window last year either so it's easy to think that we can spend money, whether we will is a different matter altogether however I don't think it's right to just readily dismiss it and point to previous behaviors when we generally have never been in this financial position before.
I don't think we'll spend 100's of millions but I do think we'll have a positive spend whilst being sensible, it's genuinely an exciting time for Spurs and I think we should all enjoy it.
