Marseille have shown an interest in Sissoko but are reluctant to match the former Newcastle man's existing pay deal.

Pass the bucket around at the next home game and we'll soon have enough to get rid if the misfit with enough left over to replace him. Not that I'm suggesting for one moment we don't love him! lol

....than Rasiak or Andy Booth?

Yes because Booth and Rasiak cost very little money.

If the £95k a week salary is correct he has already cost us £5m in wages and there will be a big loss in transfer fee as well.

If we are to pay part of his wages to leave then he'd have cost the club a fortune and given little to nothing back on the pitch.

It's funny how we went from spending 30 million for this bloke on the last day of the window for this dude last time out, and yet during this transfer window we haven't spent a penny. I guess what I'm trying to draw attention to is the very different, almost contrasting approaches...Did we even need him in the first place? Like, our transfer strategy isn't clear at all.

I'd be parked outside Spurs Lodge ready to dump the clutch at about 4000 RPM, to whisk him away from our club as quickly as possible.

His attitude stunk at times at NUFC, and doesn't sound that wonderful here.

Love the Pochettino quote "You sign a contract to train with Spurs, your place in the XI has to be earned" or words v similar

I remember the feeling of delight when, lying at home watching deadline day on SSN, they announced he was on his way to Everton after they agreed a fee with Newcastle. We had been strongly linked with him at the time and it was crazy that we were going to spend that money on him. Was great news to hear we weren't going to make such an expensive mistake and those silly Evertonians where. The rest as they say, is history....

Nearly everyone in the world knew that this would be a bad signing. Perplexing stuff from the board really.

Pay to leave?
He's going to prove everyone wrong this coming season.
Cheap at half the price.

How exactly?
I don't think our game suited him this season. Intricate play in tight spaces is clearly not Sissoko's game to any extent.
But his power might be a more important factor at Wembley.

I realise this opinion is against the prevailing opinion on here where every thread whatever the subject has a 'I'll drive <Sissoko> there myself' type comment.

OK, realistically there is not much chance he'll come good, but if by chance he does, my status as a footballing oracle will go through the roof.
I can easily imagine Levy and MP consulting me in the future.

And I'll have a cut of all those big fees, oh yes!
