Watched all the games and I think there is quite a lot of promise in the team that we took with us, let alone the additional WC players to return. Poch seems to have given everyone a go. Key points for me are:
-Lamela looks fit and hungry.
-Ceballos and Falque offer us a youthful energy combined with some skill.
-Our defence is a bit shaky. Dawson looked out of steam for the first couple of games, but I reckon he might stay after stepping up a bit. I don't think we'll get part with him till Xmas if he does go as we need experience as well as pressing ability. Veljkovic looks like a good prospect. Davies looks good too.
-Need to get better at crossing into the box to supply Soldado.

Good all round assessment. Holtby was the standout player for me, and Mason and Lamela had a good tour. Your observation on our wing play is spot on.

Was thinking of adding an edit about Holtby. Maybe I'm wrong and not seeing something, but for me he is pretty damned good. Gets into spaces, shows passion and leadership. A skillful player who with the coaching Poch can provide could develop into a top top midfielder. He's not missing anything except games and confidence from the management. IMHO. Also knows the German system and frankly that impressed the hell out of me at the WC.

Can't really disagree with any of that. You don't get to play in the Germans U-21 side scoring 14 in 24 for no reason. Under the right coaching, which I believe Poch and his team will provide, Lewis will thrive at our club.

Although we did concede some goals, it was pre-season and many players aren't 100 percent yet. Also, we had Brad standing GK. Not our number 1. So good all round pre-season for spurs. We have a relatively easy start to the season, capitalising on the start will be pivotal. But the squad looks like they believe in Poch, good stuff.

How long have you been supporting Spurs?! Since when do we do 'relatively easy'?! ;)
