''Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has been told by chairman Daniel Levy that he will have money to spend this summer after they made no new signings in the last two transfer windows.''

Erm, It has been said many times by people with connections to the club Pochettino had money to spend in the last 2 windows.

It doesn't say otherwise. Read it again?

No one thinks we "didn't have money". We just didn't find a player whom Pochettino wanted to sign, represented good value and whose club would do a deal.

I reckon exactly the same will apply this summer, but perhaps with higher figures attached. Unless there is a player who (a) meets a need in our squad or is young and improvable, (b) whom Pochettino thinks has the right character to be part of his squad, (c) who isn't madly overpriced, (d) who wants to join us and (e) whose club is willing to sell, we won't buy anyone.

And I don't expect that to change until we have a different manager. He sets the policy. And he is very selective, especially when it comes to the "character" question.
