I take back what I said about the penalty. It's a foul outside, not inside, and Son does definitely do worse that a normal feint, he pretty much stops completely.

Now that first disallowed goal, THAT was a complete and utter farce.

Winks and sissoko in the middle is just terrible. Without dembele and dier our midfield looks dreadful.
Funnily enough, that exact midfield pair struggling against Rochdale was outstanding against Real Madrid both home and away.

Football, eh.

Look at this twat protecting VAR officials, refs are like politicians, can’t give a straight answer can they?

To be honest I still don’t think it’s a penalty. Unless they changed the rule, it’s always been where the foul started that counts.

According to some yank on fox sports who is a Dr of football holding is the only offence that can start outside the box and be given as a penalty if it continues in the box.

But there was nothing wrong with the penalty? It was his stupid run-up which was the problem.

He's also a senior striker and probably wants hattrick. I can't see any problem with him having penalty duties at all.
I just didn't have much confidence about him before he took it. The omens are not good for us at the moment. The pitch is becoming a mess with a ball stopping. We have to score early, but we have to keep cool heads. We were looking ragged towards the end.

Without doubt the most ridiculous half of football I’ve ever seen.
Starting to have a really horrible feeling about this game.

As was the non-pen for the Lucas block. If Llorente was committing a foul for the first disallowed goal, then surely that had to be a foul for a block.

It's been an utter farce so far.

Stupid penalty from Son to be honest. Everyone knows you can’t do that from the playground. He didn’t pause, he properly stopped on second watch.

That said, it’s never, ever picked up by refs, let alone a booking and no retake

Not sure the big guns will help. Once again, we are struggling to control the midfield. Maybe bring Sanchez on and move Dier or Foyth to CM
I'd get Dembele on for Winks or Sissoko and Dele for Llorente with Son upfront. Eriksen or Kane if it stays as is a few minutes in.

Pissed off at this VAR shambles. Whether the decisions are correct or incorrect, as I predicted the whole process to it would be a massive ballache and make things worse. Most said no it would be wonderful, well........

More pissed off at our team and our manager. Focus has completely been lost and we're lucky now not to be behind. I said after the Newport games I don't know why we are pissing around with the ball at the back, inviting pressure, and giving the opposition a sniff. I said it after the first game against this lot.... And now finally it bites us on the arse. We cough up the ball at our most open in the left corner, concede a goal. Then more pissing about trying to play out, losing the ball, and nearly 2-1 down. How many fucking games do we sit through where this happens? Against these lower league teams, on often shit pitches, don't give them a sniff. Just play the game in their half. Stop being so fucking pig-headed and unable to think and adapt. FFS.

Individually I think most have been turd. Even those having bright moments have mostly taken too many touches and picked the wrong decisions. I am very concerned about Harry Winks though, he just looks completely shot currently and is all at sea out there. What has happened to him, confidence? fitness? both?
Shearer said the other night, play your best team, get 3 or 4 goals and take them off. Now we'll end up bringing them on to save the game.

Not sure what I have just watched and it’s not football. The ref is loving being the star of the show

You really think he purposefully has made mistakes so people talk about him?

You don't understand the amount of abuse that ref will get in the next few days for being badly advised by VAR and people like you think he's done it on purpose.

And people are calling the ref thick....
