Not sure where i stand for this.

Of course i'd love to smash them, with a dodgy pen and a couple of dubious offside goals, just for the crack of seeing those salty tears flow into the mersey.

Heart says COYS, head thinks i'm going to mow the lawn from 12.30 and come back in at 2.20, Take the 4-0 drubbing on the chin and try to enjoy the rest of the weekend.

So much negativity surrounding us. Kanes knackered, what is Eric Dier, Hugo and Dele out......

Still, i'd rather go through that than be a WHU fan.......

I’ll tell you what, if we win this game I’ll start to believe. We’ve just had the worst month of PR in years (no signings, stadium delay, Hugo, Lucas?) and multiple injuries. Even coming out unscathed would be impressive.

Have you watched Liverpool? They have not played well at all so far this season, they look a work in progress to me and have been lucky with results. You are overrating them.
They havent looked their best but they’ve looked much better than we have. Granted, we always start slow and its just that this season, we actually have somehow managed to get 9 points out of 12 available.

I'd love to know the justification of playing our 3rd choice right back in this game.

I just really hope we don't do what we seem to do every single time against liverpool and allow them to get in behind us. Look at the last few games they've played against us and Mane/Salah have been clean through by a good 10/15 yards multiple times. Playing a high line is suicide, especially if they play on the break.

Vorm had the game of his life against this lot before. Let's hope lightening strikes twice. If we go 4 at the back it would be nice to see Dier, Dembele, Winks, Eriksen in a diamond with lucas and Kane up top. I'd personally go with a 3 though

Because I think KWP is our best right back ??

That pace from him and Rose from full back ??

Didn't Poch play Serge as a LWB to negate Salah at Wembley last year?
Wonder if we'll see the same.

Not optimistic about this game though as Liverpool seem to have a grudge against us, with them crying about penalties last season and their baiting of Kane on Twitter.

And we don’t really have a settled clicking team.

Plus two of my mates in a five bloke WhatsApp group are Liverpool fans...

Christian Eriksen had a good game for Denmark in the week but funnily enough that doesn't fill me with confidence that we'll see the best of him tomorrow, on the other hand our Sonny is back and I think he'll be absolutely flying.
I also think this is Liverpool's first real test of the season.
The word of the day should be "clinical"

We lose if Vorm starts in net. Concedes every game. Gazzaniga please !

What is wrong with you?

2017/8 - 11 appearances / 5 clean sheets
2016/7 - 11 appearances / 5 clean sheets
2015/6 - 7 appearances / 1 clean sheet
2014/5 - 15 appearances / 4 clean sheets

But don't let that spoil your narrative...

So looking forward to this. I really hate international breaks this early in the season but it does get you excited for the next game.

I don't know why many people are so pessimistic about this. Yes Liverpool are a very good team but so are we. Yes they spunked shit loads of money but they had to. They had a shit keeper, a shit defence and a shit midfield. We still have a better back four / five than them. Our midfields are pretty evenly matched I would say. Our front 3 or 4 are likewise. They have more pace however with Moura and Son it is not that much difference now.

This will be a tough game but at 'home' I think we will shade it. We only lost to Chelsea (unluckily) and City (not unluckily!) at Wembley in the league last year. We have not lost at home to Liverpool probably since the AVB disaster, although I may be wrong. Neither team has played at their best this season.

We should not be afraid of them.

Also I am watching this in a bar in Manila that is always full of Liverpool fans. I am so looking forward to sitting there at 9.30pm tomorrow in my Spurs shirt singing away whilst they are moaning about the shit ref, cheating diving Spurs players, how our 4th goal was against the run of play and how Kane is still a one season wonder.

COYS.

So is Lamela back? If so I would start him in place of Alli and bring Dier back in midfield with 4 at the back. Son on the bench with Winks, Sanchez and Wanyama. That's a strong looking bench.

It's easy to forget just how good we are with everyone fit. I think we can handle a couple of injuries, any more and we start looking short of quality. If it's just Lloris and Alli out then I'm confident.

Words cannot describe my hatred for these bastards, mostly due to growing up in the 80’s. It’s the one match I refuse to watch every season, luckily for me I shall be on a flight to Cyprus during the game tomorrow so even if I wanted to check the score I couldn’t. On the other hand it could go a long way to ruining the wife’s holiday for her if we lose as I will not be a happy man. I hate what football can do to me at times!

The problem is a lot of those guys seem to always be injured in Wanyama, Winks & Lamela.

Not feeling confident but this is my first game to see us in the flesh this season so hopefully I'm smiling by the end.

Do you have Lloris stats there too? Against a strong Liverpool side we need our best side out. Vorm weakens that considerably. Who were the Vorm clean sheets against incidentally ? I do not fancy this game at all !! Worcestershire v Lancs T20 for me tmrw.

So how is playing our 3rd choice goalkeeper having our best side out?

Like one or two of the others on here I too are currently out of the country and although the bar at my hotel is showing it I think I may just avoid it and find something else to do than spoil our holiday.
