Just wanted to point out - I very much doubt that suddenly in the "wake" of DR's comments - Spurs have suddenly decided to buy these two players.
It's fair to say that Spurs have been looking at the market for weeks - (Rose was impatient with his remarks - as have many on here been.)

Sounds to me like we've bid for a few; Martial, Barkley and Sanchez and now we are weighing up who we really need as the clock ticks - nothing new there.

I'd also like to ask - of all these Marque Big team signings - who on SC believes we should/could have been in for one/any of them before they went somewhere else?

For my twopence:
1. Salah - I'd have liked and have done for a couple of years. (but he was set on Pool.)
2. Keane (possibly)
3. Iheanacho (possibly)
4. Maguire (possibly)

Plenty of possibles - but no one we've desperately missed out on or desperately needed,

Other Marques: we would never sign anyway as they will become 1st choice and we already have that first team spot covered.
1. Lacazette
2. Morata
3. Lukaka
4. Matic

Three big striker signings for the 3 big clubs who needed it. And a smart midfield buy by Manure.

Other than that - despite the over-hyped press about transfers and money - the market is simply having the big teams pay big bucks for the places they desperately needed improvement in. And despite that The Ar$e and The Pool - still have laughable defences!

Man City have the best squad.

We need to improve ours...smartly - and I think we will. Keep the faith and stay patient!
COYS!

Haha... I don't like this narrative that is taking shape, that Danny Rose has someone committed some sort of selfless act, championing the "underpaid, underappreciated" poorly Spurs squad.

The notion that he's the catalyst for any potential transfer in the next two weeks is equally ridiculous.

Exactly - I felt so strongly about the crappy hook in the headline - I have had to expand my original post with the help of an espresso!! COYS!

Would have loved Iheanacho out of that lot, I don't know but would assume that we at least enquired about him as part of the Walker transfer. Seemed to be a logical swap but real football isn't like Championship Manager and I'd assume there were too many complications to make it work. But still think it would have been a good signing
