Marc Guehi and Jarrad Branthwaite are among the players on Tottenham’s radar as they grapple with an injury crisis in the centre of defence. Tottenham held a meeting this week to discuss defenders they could potentially sign in January due to the injury to Micky van de Ven and Eric Dier’s contract situation.

Not convinced. Both would cost close to £50m if you look at the fee's Palace/Everton have charged previously for young 'british' talent.

If Wan Bissaka and Gordon are anything to go by, neither Palace nor Everton will negotiate lightly (and rightly so!).

For those reasons alone, I doubt either of these are actual targets and are instead on a short list of 'interesting players'.

Only my onions of course.

Doubt either club would sell either of those in Jan unless contracts running out.

We'll be 'considering' a lot of things and testing the waters behind the scenes to see which deals are feasible and which are non starters.

I doubt Guehi would come to Spurs and sit behind Romero and VDV on the bench in a season where he's pushing for England Euros squad. Branthwaite on the other hand, I don't know.

Because he won't start ahead of Romero or VDV?
We need at least 3 equally good cb. Even if he’s 3rd choice I’d still expect him to get 30 games plus a season (barring injury). We need to get out of the mind set of a 1st 11. Ange is going to have to rotate game to game. Btw I’m not saying I want him but whoever it is we need to change how we operate.

Guehi just got into the England squad, he's a guaranteed starter at a mid level premiership club and if he keeps on progressing over next season or two is likely to get a move to a bigger club as a starter not as a likely sub initially.
If anyone decent was advising him they would tell him not to join us and definitely be behind Romero and likely behind VDV.
Everton to sell one of their better performers would be madness given they are in a relegation scrap.

Hard to see how either of these moves could happen

Considering the same media say we have no money they are linking us to some very expensive players 🤷‍♀️
