It's possible it could be just a one off. Man United's Nike home shirt in 2007 featured a shield with the crest, but that wasn't permanent.

Neither was the numbering & names as they kept coming off. Or was that a different kit. I'm reddist, all reds look alike to me :p

If there's any truth in the 'Chelsea leak', that means Nike's gonna use pretty much the same template for another year. If so they are worse than I thought.

I don't know why people are so snobby about templates. Every manufacturer uses templates, even Under Armour.

It's just that Nike provide kits for a lot more clubs.

Because Nike has one basic template, and they've used the same colors for multiple teams. It's lazy. At least other sponsors have multiple templates and things that differentiate teams. Nike doesn't.

Look at the new red USA kit. It's the same as PSG, Portugal, Russia, and England. The only difference is trim color and the badge.

You could say it's lazy - or they've decided having all their teams in a similar template is best for their brand recognition. Either way - as long as all the kits don't have too much pissy yellow on them I couldn't care less if it's a template.

All 10 or 12 Ralph Polo shirts I have use the same template.
It doesn't make me sad to know that :ROFLMAO:

Not similar templates, one template. It's gotta be their strategy to do it this way, cos by looking at their jerseys, their motto is so clear: one for all, all for one...literally. But god can you make it a little less obvious?

One thing I do agree is that with Nike, we will get a very simple white shirt (please be fully white, no adding colors on the sleeves please) navy short and stays there for the duration of the contract, and that's ok.

...until you see the ugliest guy in town wearing the same shirt as yours, or better yet, the coolest guy in town wearing the same shirt to make you look ugly.

And they are everywhere.

Actually, the current template generally has the shirt and shorts colour as the same whilst the sock colour is different. Meaning there is a possibility of a white shirt, white shorts and blue socks get up. I'd like it to be different though as i don't like us in white shorts for anything but europe/clashes.
