I respect him hugely for how he has performed this season in light of the contract issues and that he was left out of one or two key games this season etc

Really professional. Could have chucked his toys out of the pram like a number of other players out there but he hasnt. 100% performances and one of my players of the season

I have a sneaky feeling something will materialise and we will both agree a contract
You respect him for doing what he is paid to do? Doesn't take much to win your respect, does it?

Honestly if he is willing to stay till end of 2020. Im happy enough. By then i think sanchez foyth will be entering their prime. Unless toby signs a 4 year contract today then i think that would be his final contract at a top tier level.

Im easy to please.

You take the one line out of context of the overall post - if you look at WHY i have respect for how he has played then you would know why...

He could have done an Arnautovic or one of the copious numbers of players who have thrown their toys out of the pram.

He doesnt get paid to care for the club and you can clearly see in his reactions on and maybe off the pitch that he cares.

Signing a contract proves you're happy to stay. Yes, you're playing well. You should, you get paid vulgar amounts of money to do so.

Too late for that, the boats gone. Why would he stay on his old wages all that time if he was going to turn around and agree the same deal now?

This is my view. A big club that needs a CB such as man united are going to make him a big offer this summer, they won’t wait a another year when they can just throw more cash
