He was being sarcastic.
Do you have evidence from JJ that this was sarcastic? Not knocking you just asking. If he hasn't expressly disclaimed the statement then I'm gonna take the ITK at face value. I for one believe we are going for it and hold out hope that it will happen.

We have repeated and corroborated ITK that we are Scrooge McDucking in a pool of 100+ million squids waiting to bolster the squad ranks and in no way skint due to the shiny but yet unopened financial albatross that is the NWHL. And now that we are at a 50/50 with Isco (I believe that is the general consensus as to whom the latest ITK refers) coming we will be golden for the rest of the year. Add to that our hard push for Rabiot, who IMO will be convinced as his options dwindle and deadline day nears, that I expect to bear fruit.

It is all about positivity and belief SS77. Sure, those two things are not great currency in the transfer market nor legal tender anywhere I don't believe but it's still all about them. Then again Lewis and Soros did make there money from being negative about currency so I guess you can partially discount my previous statement. It's all in flux I guess is what I'm saying but we need to believe.

I’m not going to deconstruct the tweet for you, but it should be obvious to anyone who can read that JJ is being sarcastic.

If you’re still struggling, ask yourself why a DOF would be ‘desperate’ to sell his ‘best player’. If that doesn’t make logical sense, it could be a sign that you probably want to think twice about taking the ‘ITK at face value’.

Now I don't understand the particulars of that cesspool that is twitter but it says replying to both those picture/linked posts and to another person whose message is not visible.

So: if he is replying to the esteemed 'Bunion Boy' then an exclamation pointed 'Exactly' could be just exasperation at the slow-motion movements by our folks in getting it done. If his reply is to the equally, I'm sure, esteemed '_Ben_Harris' then I could understand that interpretation but I am not sure that it would rise to level of "expressly disclam[ing]" the previous statement. I think a statement like "Nah, folks that last tweet was a bullshit" would satisfy my point.

Even if it were 'sarcasm' it still wouldn't mean that it is not happening. Was Levy "desperate" to sell Bale or Modric and giving RM a "glowing reference"? Did they still go?

It's all about positivity folks and right about now @Univarn and @King of Otters you folks are outside the positivity tent pissing in. How about you jump inside and start pissing out with the rest of us. I choose to believe.

I feel like this is almost exactly how The Flat Earth Society started.
Well, you can deride those FES folks all you want but in that thread or out there is no evidence that the Earth is a sphere.

Get positive KOO, we will do this.

Never! The Old North State will be one of the last one's standing with their heels stuck... well you know where I was going there. Get in the tent you naysaying holdout.

I'm choosing to be positive.

Which? Prove the Earth is flat or sign someone?

Both are of similar likelihood

That Raphael Honigstein who has been fairly bang on recently (Pulisic to Chelsea) reckons Werner hasn't decided what to do next but if he turns down Leipzig new deal they want to sell him outside germany for 40-50 mill with Liv, Dortmund and Bayern among his suitors.

I said there was no evidence the Earth was a sphere. So, I believe it is more likely that we sign someone that someone proves the Earth is a sphere.

Hmm. I always thought Dortmund and Bayern we’re INSIDE Germany. Go figure.
