Interesting from Eriksen on all the players signing new contracts:

“The more stable you are, if you have the same manager, mostly the same players, it makes it easier for the club to play as best as they can,” Christian Eriksen said in an excellent interview with the Daily Telegraph’s Jonathan Liew this week. “It gives a bit of comfort. It’s not like, ‘he’s going to leave in a week anyway’. So you know what you have to work for. And that gives you a good feeling.”

Great read and some nice stats in there.
Whilst fans have been frustrated in some games me include....the bigger picture is soooo much better than ever before.
And if we keep these players and poch, things are going to get even better.

Even if the gaps between Pochettino’s key dots leave room for improvement, it would take a staunch pessimist to be gloomy.

Enter, Spurs Community!

Good read Though.

My main concern at the moment is Loris's habit of playing short passes out to his back four. Every time he does it I hold my breath as an opponent rushes in and just fails to intercept it, the the full back is under pressure immediately and passes back to Loris, who tries the other way....... and so on, sometimes I almost have to look away! Surely other teams will get wise to this eventually and will be ready for it, I'm sure someone will make us pay eventually! Why cant he just hoof it downfield occasionally, if only for variety!?

My main concern is complacency. We have a habit of not killing off teams and again conceded a goal against Watford when 4-0 up and should have been 6-0 up against a side riddled with injuries. Chelsea will crush us unless we change our metal it yet. Fingers crossed we will be up for the game, concerntrate up until the final whistle and win. This is a good Spurs Side that just needs a killers touch. COYS

Somewhat ironic post I hope given the title piece is about looking on the bright side (and we have just won two away games in a row 4-1!)

Cheer up, Brian. You know what they say. Some things in life are bad... They can really make you mad.

United were wise to this and generally forced Lloris to kick it long. That didn't work out too well for us so I'm happy to stick with playing out from the back

I'd say going 4-0 up after 46 mins away from home in any premier league game is considered killing a team off.
Keeping the pressure on and going for 5 or 6 expends unnecessary energy which we saved for our next game - when we're gonna need it!

It would be spursey to get more points, score more goals, concede less than ever before and somehow fail to achieve anything.

Only on Spurs Community can we turn a positive story into a 'my main concern is....' competition. For fuck sake people are you ever happy?
