At the end of the day the desicion has been made by Levy so lets gets behind Tim, Some people might be in for a big surprise.

Awful decision by a reactionary chairman with no proper thought behind the whole situation, compounded by the fact he was influenced by Sherwoods ultimatum after the Southampton game weak weak weak.

I suspect we are in end of a manager until the end of the season (at which point we'll appoint a new permanent manager), and this will be the easiest way of doing it without disrupting the squad with uncertainty and an undermined "temporary" appointment - I have no doubt Tim won't last past the world cup (probably sacked the day after Holland get knocked out).

Well I'm massively disappointed.

I hear you but I just can't see what the better option was right here and now.
We simply do not have the time mess about and have a chance of salvaging our season with a degree of continuity. Plus nobody decent is available right now.
I think Levy knows this and has found a middle ground, appeased Sherwood with 18 months but with a speed-dial ready for De Boer and Van Gaal in the summer, in case.
