Silly question but are people genuinely shocked that they can't buy a ticket for our first game or that there's a lot of demand?

I would be more shocked at people going in and seeing lots of tickets available... o_O

no, I don't think anyone's shocked. what's disappointing, though, is being able to go to the websites of a dozen, or so, 'authorized sellers' and seeing plenty of tickets available from around 350 quid.

it couldn't be more transparent, could it? why should the club have to sell its tickets to longstanding members who've paid for the privilege of first opportunity to buy when they can bring 8-or-more-times the face value in a secondary market? answer: they don't. 'eff off, pook … there's money to be made (in addition to what we've already taken off you).'

if I can't get a ticket because there are 'X' tickets available and 'Xx10' members seeking them, well, I know there's a 90% chance I'm not getting in. no problem. but if the number of available seats is 'X' instead of 'Xx2' because the club wants those tickets' added secondary market value and my membership fee … well, my frustrations are based on more than just demand being higher than supply.

what's the difference between having to pay 350 quid to an authorized re-seller and the universally-recognized-as-unethical charging of the same marked up price from a tout? just one: the club gets its cut of the rip-off. so why not just price them at 350 pounds sterling and leave it at that? I suppose it's because it would look like the club is grotesquely fleecing it's own life-blood - the established fan. well, guess what …

I know this might piss people off but it just shows how completely random the system is.

Managed to get one really easily today. Went to the site at 9.40 and forgot about it until 10.10. Went back and realised I hadn’t actually forgot to sign in but donut was at 11 o’clock. Decided to chance signing in. Signed in, went straight through most block so were blue but only 1 or 2 seats in each block. Pressed select a seat for me and got one at the front of the north upper for £42.

The system desperately needs overhauling

The randomness / bugs is the frustrating bit. On my iphone. Wheel moving nicely, got three-quarters round. Me thinking I’m in with a good chance here. Wheel doesn’t move for a while. Is it stuck? Do I reload page? I don’t. Wheel never moves again.

No idea whether I should have done something different, or whether that’s just how it is.

I tried to log in at just after 09:00 this morning and it wouldn’t let me access the doughnut of death! Finally got on at approximately 10:45 to see the last two tickets disappear ???

The amount of times I added a ticket to my basket only to see “unknown error please return to home page” was ridiculous

Exactlty. Huge pent up demand. Next season will be a lot easier.

@Kspur
If you turn up with a ticket which you've paid for and been sent electronically then all consumer rights are in your favour mate. If they don't let you in I'd play the "mis-sold" card and demand to see a more senior person until you get sorted out.

Has anyone seen all the sites where people are selling their tickets? I asked the club about this yesterday to complain and three separate replies with Generic responses that had nothing to do with my query! Examples below:

Yeah, I can’t imagine this is going to fly, although they have digitally sent me the ticket (which I thought was supposed to go on the card...).

Fortunately I only live nearby, I might just go over and chance it with little expectation, if it turns out to be a bonus, great, if not, I’ve lost little.

The idea of contacting the club and drawing attention to an error is not appealing.
If you’ve got the ticket then definitely try mate. Don’t bring it to their attention though

So members only get allocated 7k tickets out of 62k???? Fuck me. So if you’re not a member good luck trying to see a game unless you want to pay a fortune via stubhub & their ilk.

don't worry about the wheel getting "stuck", each time i've gotten in it hadn't moved from 90% for about half an hour, it never got to 100% but it just lets you in when it decides to. refreshing will almost certainly send you to the back of the queue.

I got one for Huddersfield which is the soonest game I can make. I joined at about 9:20 and got through about 10:40. There were 3 tickets left, kept clicking each of them as it said they were unavailable. Kept trying for about 5-10 minutes of trying each one and finally got one. I guess you just hope that someone releases one as I'm sure people select a seat and then keep looking for a better one.

Also i dont think it helps you get 30 minutes to purchase them! That means people sit on them for ages while they go and select other seats probably

It definitely happens. I do it myself. You select one quickly to make sure you have at least one seat, and then you can try to find a better one and release the less preferred seat when you are ready to purchase.

I’d keep checking every 20 seconds as seats do become available again after a while.

It’s a stupid system but you need to know how to navigate it. K
